Q: Does this remote work both IR and RF devices?
A: This remote works only via IR transmission.

A: Yes as a mater of fact I set it up on a TCL tv that was given to me with no remote

A: I have no idea, but I can share this with you. While considering this remote, the salesperson told me it wouldn’t replicate my Cox cable basic controller. And she was wrong! It handles the basic Cox remote, Samsung tv and soundbar and an Xbox. It’s not perfect but beats the heck out of juggling 4 separate remotes.
