Best PS4 golf game on the market and at a great price You won’t be disappointed

The gameplay is very good. Ball reaction on greens is really good. There is a LOT of great courses to play as well. The commentary is poor and the fact there aren't actual players on the career mode (brooks koepka, dustin johnson, etc) is disappointing. The graphics are on point, but some other areas of the game need to be improved- commentary, real-life players, & equipment options.

I've played this game on the XBOX and now bought it for my son on the PS4. He is a huge golf fan and this is a good game, especially for the price point. It uses a slightly different approach to the controls than other golf games. It takes some getting used to, but once you do it is a fun game to play. You can practice, play a single round of 9 or 18 holes, etc. It also allows you to customize your character like many other games. Recommended for golf fans.

Not for the faint of heart, this is a challenging golf game. It is more of a golf simulation than an arcade type game, this is not the Tiger Woods games of old. Personally I really like the game, and the collection of user made courses is fantastic and huge. The PGA aspects need to be expanded, no PGA golfers and the tour calendar has only a few licensed courses. It would be great if you could choose the courses for the tour schedule. The graphics could be improved, and the developers really should move to a better graphics engine, considering where console gaming is today. All of that being said, I really love playing this game. The challenge, and you can adjust the swing difficulty by the club set you choose, provides a sense of reward when you are successful, unlike the old EA games which you could master in a few weeks and then shoot 20 under par per round. If you like golf, this game is for you.

Gameplay is great.. putting can be a little more consistent.. needs more real PGA courses/tournaments (Augusta would be the dream).. would be great if it had real PGA players.. hopefully 2k gets more involved and beefs up the career mode to be near as good as the similar modes in NBA2k.

Loved last version of this, had to check new one...glad I did. Graphics, audio, swing meter, available courses all amped up. Very nice game, not carnival-like and mastered in 3 rounds. Real-life-golf buds and I once a week have craft and competion on this game and all enjoy it greatly. Honestly, I often hear “This is a beautiful course!”. Great visuals, smooth and as true to life as is available. One suggestion to John, the commentator. I’m thinking I might have hurt your feelings in my last review of previous game when I said “John delivers the smack”...because your just too darn polite on this version. We miss when you used to “rib” the poor shots. Idea: offer 3 different commentator modes- Encouraging, Light Smack and Smack Down. Great work developers, keep it going “Powerful!” like “Thor’s hammer!”

I know just enough about golf to be 'dangerous' , i.e that I may over think / over analyze the game. To the credit of the developers , this game is more of a sim than it is a 'video game' - you will pay for your mistakes but it makes it more gratifying when you're consistently playing well , making the right decisions . If you're not careful , bad habits can creep in and you can go in to a slump - just like in real golf . The courses are beautiful , pretty good variety . No , you aren't playing against any real pros but honestly that doesn't matter to me . As you develop your skills the most difficult thing will be turning the game off . Just one more round …. LOL Highly recommended , especially at the discounted price .

This is a major upgrade from the previous TGCs. I still don’t think it compares to the last version of EASports Tiger Woods on the PS3. That one was excellent with so many real courses. We only get a handful in this game. I was expecting more since is has the PGA sponsorship now. What it does have over previous versions is that the gameplay and controller motions are much better / more true. I’ve enjoyed playing it. I like a good console golf game and this is the best out there right now. I still would love to see that last version of EASports TW come back on PS4 though. This one is good but that one was excellent.

This is a golf sim that will give you what you want. You can play on easy and score well or crank it up and be challenged on every shot. The courses are great. Tons of fun.

TGC 2019 is a pretty solid golf game, with a bit more focus on simulation play that arcade-style that other franchises have focused on in the past. The main draw of TGC 2019 is the course creation tool, as well as the ability to play any course created by the many, many people who spent long hours making fun fantasy courses, faithful real-life recreations of actual courses, and some off-the-wall weird courses, too. There is no shortage of tracks you can play in TGC 2019. That said, the rest of the game lacks a bit of depth. The Career Mode isn't as good as the single-player mode that other golf games have (Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is the gold standard for career modes). To make up for the lack of depth, you can play in Societies in TGC 2019, which are like online Country Clubs complete with events and tournament in which you compete against other golfers. They add to the enjoyment and help add some replayability to the game. All in all, TGC 2019 is worth a shot if you're looking for a new golf game.

Got this game a couple of weeks ago, and definitely didn’t disappoint! Players are customizable, six real courses, and the game is challenging but fun.

The graphics are stunning. The game play is in my opinion harder than actual golf itself! Driving and approach is good. Reading the greens is hard. Sand shots are nearly impossible {for me anyway}. My spine has been badly damaged and can't play golf anymore but the game is quite realistic. After several rounds it is more playable, just have to get used to it. Enjoy!

The controls on this game were very difficult to master at first, but once you get the hang of it you really do play the game by feel just as you would a real round of golf. The scoring is very realistic and when you break par it actually feels like an accomplishment, unlike prior video games where it was common to shoot in the 50s for 18 holes. I highly recommend this game!!!!

This is a great golf game for beginners and experts alike. The courses range from ridiculously easy to insanely difficult. My favorite feature is the online societies to play online. There are so many courses and customization options. Graphics are excellent. Next years version comes out in August. Grab this at $15 and it’s well worth it.

This is a decent golf simulation game. I played the Tiger Woods franchise a lot in past years and take note that this game is extremely different than those. This game is for the serious golfer that understands hitting the perfect shot is extremely difficult. No spinning the ball in mid air or bombing 450 yard drives here. The game is frustrating at times, but so is real golf. Good shots are much more rewarding this way. I play career mode most often and it is enjoyable. My biggest complaint is that the game lacks in creating the full golf atmosphere while playing. Crowds are ugly and bring nothing to the overall experience. They even have the rowdy par 3 at the Waste Management Open, but fail to make the crowd very rowdy...which defeats the purpose in my opinion. Overall, for the price of $19.99 it is worth it and I chose this version over the recently released PGA 2k21 because of poor reviews there and I'm glad I did.

I’ve played many different golf games on the PC & PlayStation for many years. This version of The Golf Club is one of the best. The game play is smooth and the graphics are great. The only drawback for me is there is no classic mode of two/three clicks move the club instead of only the joystick.

this game isn't really that bad. feels more like a first stab though. lot of good things to build upon. gameplay is pretty solid, graphics are good, and the action is pretty realistic (frustratingly so at times). can't wait to see next years installment if they build upon this.

First of all I'm used to EA Sports golf. This game is pretty fun the graphics are pretty decent I got it at a good price so I really don't have any complaints the controls are a little difficult but what time it seems to work out pretty well so give it a try you won't regret it
