The Last Guardian stirs emotions that few games can replicate. However, if you aren't big on story driven or puzzle games. The Last Guardian isn't for you.

The story is good. The controls are kind of bad, but if you can see past that it's a pretty good game.

Like most, I had my eyes on this release way back on ps3, after playing Ico and Shadows of the Colossus on ps2. Yet here we are, ps4 era, and the game has finally hit release. For me, it was completely worth the wait, as I’ve never played anything like it since the studios games were remastered for ps3. It had been too long. And fortunately, the graphics had grown with the generations - not mind blowingly, but it wasn’t like I thought it’d be. The controls however, they could be better, mostly the camera placement. But minus a few technical throwbacks, the game is a beautiful and solid experience.

The story in this game is great, as you have to build trust in each other as the game progresses, but the puzzles at times become monotonous. Jumping, running and pulling levers are the majority of the game, but the story and the progression between the characters drive you play more. Overall, it's a great older game with a little revision (very little) to update it, and it's what Sony does best with the majority of their story driven games (tell a great story and make you care about the characters).

As the title says, the gameplay, or the controls themselves, are quite difficult at times. I was pondering this, and began to wonder if this was intentional for some reason. The protagonist being a very young boy, not very skillful or strong, interacting with a giant overwhelming beast, of roughly dog intelligence, does make a good case for why the controls are difficult, even frustrating at times. Is this a way of providing for the player a psychological and physical connection to the protagonist? Or just poorly designed mechanics?

Some say the laggy controls are intentional, and perhaps they are. but that doesn't mean it makes the game enjoyable. You will learn this while surrounded by enemies. You will say a bad word, you will grip your controller tighter. The world lore and Trico are wonderful however. I had no problems dealing with Trico, it's the boy that makes the game a chore. Ico and SotC had more responsive controls, which is baffling to me. I've already played through the game 3 times and I still can't get over the controls. I never warmed up to them. Still, a must play for Ico fans.

This game so far has been fantastic. It's art isn't what you would expect on a ps4 and theres a few fps drop but other than that the story is fantastic!

The long awaited title is finally here. While there are some small gameplay issues with the camera angles, the game is still fun and visually stunning.

The story should be enough for someone to purchase the game, however the controls and the wonky camera angles might make you second think the purchase.

This is no doubt the best platform puzzle game on this system exclusively. There's a lot of exploration in ruins, caves & forests. A lot of architectural detail in the environments. Atmospheric elements nicely throughout. The interaction with platform objectives takes some brainstorming. The pace picks up gradually. Using Trico can be fun & interesting in some parts. You have to have a good eye or perception sometimes in to figuring out each puzzle. Game requires patience. The graphics are fair. The game has no replay value, but worth one time playing through.

This game is like an unpolished stone. There is greatness underneath, but you have to work to see it. I highly recommend watching several YouTube videos on how to control the Guardian Trico. The game's camera reminded me of the early Lara Croft games on PC. That said, Team Ico’s world is visually beautiful, if melancholy. When in doubt, don't be ashamed to YouTube some solutions to the puzzles which can be confusing and picky.

Great game, worth the long wait. Though controls could certainly be better, visuals are fantastic, and gameplay is fun.

Thought this looked like my type of game I could enjoy, but the controls were pretty bad. Kind of frustrating trying to climb up this huge beast and got tired of it pretty quickly.

This is an interesting game where you get to control a giant creature. An engaging story makes it worth a playthrough.

Great game from an era of old school gaming made present day. Other than frustrating controls, this game is a feels-trip all the way. Loved it!

If you've played ICO or Shadow of the Colossus then you know what this one's got in store. Great story about a boy and his dog with engaging puzzles and eerie backgrounds.

The graphics in the game are amazing. The relationship between the beast and child is touching. The game controls are intuitive and the play is challenging but manageable.

i was really hoping to enjoy this game but it was not for me. i found it to be slow and the camera angles are very bad. the main character i felt was also very hard to control.

This game is everything i hoped for and more. The graphics are boosted especially with a ps4 pro, but if you don't have one it still looks great. It took a long time for this to come out, but it was worth the wait. The bond that you form with the doglike creature in the game is immense, it almost brings you to tears. I don't want to say too much because i don't want to spoil it, but it is a definite must have if you have the ps4 or ps4 pro. Definitely worth the purchase of the ps4 or ps4 pro just for this game, and to top it off there are way more exclusives out there for this system. Sony outdoes themselves again!!

Very good game for almost all ages. There's some violence but this game teaches a very strong lesson with great story telling. If you like story, and visuals, you'll love this game.
