I bought it because it was only $30 and I heard the PS3 version was good. About five minutes in, I realized there would be zombies. I lost some interest. About ten minutes later, I realized it was by Naughty Dog. I lost almost all remaining interest (I had Uncharted 2, played on highest difficulty from the very beginning, finished it in a day and a half, and felt like I wanted my money back). I decided to keep going. At one point, I thought that The Walking Dead Season One had better character development! Somewhere around an hour in, I began to see that all of my previous thoughts were totally wrong. Full disclosure: I played on Hard from the very beginning; it took ~45 hours and I played it over a vacation so there were several 8+ hour days back-to-back. I became completely immersed so my experience may differ greatly from others. The character development is amazing. It creeps up on you slowly through spontaneous in-game conversations and triggered events. There are some cut-scenes, and they actually add a ton of value. I LOVED how there are optional/hidden dialogues sprinkled throughout the game...they also add real value and make the story even better. You don't "watch" it, you "participate" in it...awesome idea! Ellie's transformation from a seemingly innocuous teenage girl into a ruthless, self-sufficient killer is perfectly executed and draws a line in the sand for other games to cross. But that's only part of the story. Winter was my favorite season to play...without a doubt. I think most players would agree. I don't want to ruin it, so I'll just say the ending is what it needed to be. I bought the art book and poster kit afterwards because the whole experience resonated in my head many days later. IF YOU HAVE THE SLIGHTEST INTEREST IN THIS GAME, BUY IT!! RIGHT NOW!!! Be warned though: this game is so good, other games will probably leave you feeling at least a little disappointed. You'll never catch the dragon again ;)

By far the greatest game ever created is TLOU. It's a great mature story with moments that will leave you coming back for more. No matter where you look this game has it all. One thing that I can take away from TLOU is that no matter what the odds are you keep fighting and that's just how life is. I would recommend this game to anyone who feels like they've already played the very best games. It is one of those games that is hard to beat as far as story and game play.

still one of the best games to ever come on the Playstation consoles. Great story driven action and character development. Backwards compatible on PS5. Enough jump scare moments to make you pause the game and take a deep breath. Enjoy Joel and Ellie

I purchased this game to play so I'll know whats in store for the second game,which I already have. I didn't know I was gonna be fully immersed into to a grim world with a score that's a masterpiece and story that grips you.

If you haven't already played this game on PlayStation 3 then I don't know what you are waiting for you need this game. Also if you have played it on PlayStation 3, why not get it again? It's hands down one of the most compelling well written stories that you don't just watch you play through. Brilliant in every aspect; visually stunning, diverse enemies, choose to be stealthy (recommended) or just guns blazing, crafting is simple and fun. Simply put as the summary says it's a must buy

After playing the Uncharted Collection and Uncharted 4, I knew I needed another game to keep myself busy, so I decided to buy Naughty Dog's other popular game, The Last of Us. This game has blown me out of the water!!! Uncharted 4 was amazing, but The Last of Us has it over Uncharted 4 by just the slightest edge. Either way, Naughty Dog sure knows how to make amazing video games, and I'm very looking forward to The Lost Legacy and The Last of Us 2.

As Play Station fan (used PS ,2, 3, 4 & PRO) this is one of the most iconic games ever for the console, the story, the graphics, the “journey” thru the game worth every penny. A must have for any serious PS player. I played on PS3 the original version, so I have a vast experience on the game. The new version it's a "new game" the graphics, sounds, etc. Really good to have it back on PS4 pro.

This game is really good! The story is well written and makes the experience even better. It’s not a hard game to beat and you can change the difficulty any time. I recommend this game and can’t wait to play The last of us 2.

I recommend this game for sure! At first I wasn't sure if I would like this game or not. I watched the preview on YouTube and I wasn't really sure but I took a chance and I really love the game play and graphics. But make sure you check everything for ammo if you won't have a lot.

I was late to the party with this one; played it for the first time in 2023 and I totally get why this is so widely acclaimed. A gripping story, rewarding gameplay, and most importantly it's not 100 hours long. The game gets more and more enjoyable the whole time and then--it's over. Wish they made 'em like that more often. At $10, this is absolutely the way to experience TLOU unless spending $70 on needless remasters is your passion. This ran beautifully on my PS5 and I didn't feel like I was missing anything graphically.

This game is amazing it has amazing graphics and a awsome story line with two characters: (Ellie and Joel) you see what a post apocalyptic world would be like if everyone was fighting zombies and other humans to survive. Basically what i am trying to say is buy this game you wont be disappointed at all this game has you on the edge of your seat the whole time guess what s going to happen next and then you feel like you are apart of the characters by the end of the game

This game is an amazing experience to play through. Being a long time Resident Evil fan, I have always been in the market for survival horror games and this game, surprisingly, provide another fresh take of the genre. There are a lot of action, and lots of killing of the undead, but that doesn't mean you don't take each step with cautions. The story can be a bit depressing but it does make the story more compelling. I highly recommend this game!!

Another great PS4 game with nice graphics and a good story line. A good game but it was a little to easy to beat.

This is now one of the best games I've ever played. I rarely care for story in video games but this is one that had me from the very beginning. The game play can be slow at times but not in a boring way. Still it all comes down to taste and this may not be for those that want constant action and no cutscenes. Everyone should at least give it a try though. The multi-player is also pretty fun and definitely seems like something I could really sink my teeth into.

Admittedly, I'm a late-comer to the PlayStation community, and I have been dodging Last of Us spoilers since the game came out in 2013. FINALLY, after getting a PS4 I jumped at the chance to play TLoU and it was fantastic. To put it shortly, this game looks amazing graphically, the gameplay is seamless and exciting, and the story is passionate and thoughtful, leaving you asking for more when you finish (in a good way).

The story and gameplay for this game are incredible. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to finish playing the game after just the intro. Naughty Dog did an outstanding job with the story and game mechanics. The only weakness I can see is the remote play. Yes you can use the vita to remote play this game but the screen is much too small and the controls are very difficult. This is a game that must be "enjoyed" on a full size tv preferably in surround sound.

Simply put, the remastered game of The Last of Us is amazing. It takes full advantage of the PS4, using 60fps and full 1080p instead of using it at only 30fps like on the PS3. Naughty Dog is one of my favorite developers, as is the Uncharted series that they have produced. While I wait for Uncharted 4 to come out, this game will have me playing a whole new storyline over and over. Definitely a must buy for your PS4, even if you already owned it with your PS3.
