I recently came across the Therabody Smart Goggles and decided to give them a try. I’m familiar with other Therabody products, such as percussive massagers, but this is the first product made by them that I’ve owned. The smart goggles come in small packaging. A small protective cover and a usb-c type charger come with them. White is the only color that’s available now, so that protective cover will be important to help keep them clean. Like with all “smart” things, these are designed to work with the Therabody app. After a few minutes, and likely a firmware update, the smart goggles will be connected to your smartphone and you’ll be ready for your first experience. After a little bit with them, I must say I am thoroughly impressed with them. First, they are well built. Second, and more importantly, they do what they say they will. 15 minutes with the smart goggles on and you will feel totally relaxed. As you would guess, smart goggles go on your head and cover your eyes. Once turned on, they can apply a couple different levels of warming/heat, some pulsing/vibrations, and some pressure/massaging to melt away tension and stress. In the app, there are 3 different preset modes: smartrelax, focus, & sleep. There are also many guided sessions/routines that are different variations of the presets. They are also very portable, so you can take them anywhere you would want to enjoy them. My wife and I have both used these pretty regularly in the last week or so since I got them and we’re both enjoying them. My wife has headaches and she’s told me that 15 mins with the smart goggles do help to relieve them. My own use has been more about just taking 15 min breaks from anything else that may be going on in the day and just getting something we all probably need, relaxation. One more specific thing to mention that I have seen everytime I have used them, my heartrate is significantly lower after a 15 minute session than it was prior. You can see this data in the therabody app after a session using their smartsense technology, which utilizes a sensor on the smart goggles to make measurements. There doesn’t appear to be any tracking over time though in the app and I haven’t seen that they write data to other health related apps. The smart goggles are an excellent product and I can see how over time they will have a positive effect on managing stress, tension, & anxiety that we all live with to some degree.

I have been using these googles for a couple of days now. First, they are super easy to use. I appreciate that they don’t rely on having to download and connect to an app on your phone. It is just 2 buttons which is so nice compared to all of my other electronics. The massage and heat settings are really nice and the length of time it runs seems perfect. It’s super relaxing to use before bedtime or even in the middle of the day when you need to decompress. However, here are my issues with it…. I get headaches and migraines and this makes them SO much worse!!! I thought for sure these would help a lot but it absolutely does not. I don’t know if that would be the case for everyone but that was my experience. Also, they are pretty clunky. The strap on the back doesn’t support the weight of the goggles themselves so it slips down unless you’re laying flat on your back. The massage component then ends up rolling around on the wrong parts of your face. I wish they were less bulky and maybe had an over-the-head strap instead of around the back of the head. Otherwise, as long as I don’t have a headache already, they’re great.

Day 3: High quality device, solid companion app, very effective. 5/5 Looks and feel 3/5 app: Box advertises Theramind app that doesn’t exist. Therabody works well, but they selected meditations that ask you to open your eyes. Needs more selections for each category. 5/5 Function: Massage hits all the right sport with the right pressure. Heat and vibration are perfect. 4/5 Comfort: It’s heavy, the strap is at a weird height…going straight back implies the strap goes over your ears, which makes earbuds difficult and can amplify vibration noises. 5/5 effectiveness: Heart rate goes down 5-10 bpm during the sessions. I feel at ease. Fell asleep with them on, my face was red for a bit due to strap pressure. 4/5 recommend: It actually seems like good value. The proxy is slick, it works, it’s easy.

I've been using these for a week now and they are very relaxing. It took a little to get used to them, but the goggles themselves work very well. It can press firmly onto pressure points, there's a few basic settings, and you can adjust vibration and heat. It does exactly what it's supposed to. The app is pretty cool, too, but I think it could use some improvement. The goggles measure your heartbeat and I'm not sure what else, but it would be nice to see the data it collects. It's also kind of awkward that the app has some really cool meditations in it, but the goggles don't really feel set up for sound. The goggles are pretty big so I can't wear nice noise cancelling headphones while wearing the goggles; when the headset touches the goggles, it amplifies the sound of the goggle's mechanism and it's really distracting. Also, the big strong elastic band would go right across my ears, so I angle the band over my ears and I can wear earbuds to hear the music or meditations. Also awkward -- you tap a button on the app to start the meditations. But the goggles cover your eyes. So you gotta hover over the button to tap it when you're ready. The way that I use it, the biggest problem with it is the elastic band is just in the way. Maybe it should have a headgear rig instead.

We love these. They help me relax at bedtime. I love that they heat and vibrate.

I bought these for my boyfriend and it has been my most successful gift purchase so far! He uses these to fall asleep and let me tell you these goggles put him right out! The massage is gentle, the heat setting is nice. We haven’t had issues with the app at all. You can definitely hear them but I feel like the sound is almost white noise relaxing. If you’re on the fence because of the price, so far that have seemed so worth it!

definitely helps to fall asleep, it is soothing slight vibrations helps with headaches. Bought for my wife when she was pregnant due to the limits on medicine she could take.

I love these goggles and honestly wish I had purchased them earlier. They are so easy to use and I get complete relaxation from these. I bought these for my wife and will be purchasing another for myself.

Saw this and decided to take a chance on it. It is a good product. Only drawback is waking up to not sleep with it on.

First let me state, that I am a BBY employee, however I have thoroughly enjoyed this product. I have found it incredibly helpful and relaxing and have found my 2 kids even using it when they have a headache or just want to relax.

It does what it says! After a long day of working on a computer, this helps rest my eyes and relax.

Tension headaches be gone! My frequent and reoccurring headaches made me desperate for a solution, these goggles are it. Wether you need to relax, up your sleep hygiene, or banish headaches, these are for you. The app allows for customization and the heated function is great! The only features I could wish for in the next version would be cooling and additional pressure points. These goggles are more than worth it!

Does the trick. When my wife or I use this it puts us both to sleep quickly. The app and buttons are not super intuitive, but not a deal breaker.

Do not pay more than $99 for this product! I ordered a pair of these during the early Black Friday sale and paid $139 for them. 10 days later Therabody did a flash sale offering the same goggles for $99. I asked them for price matching, but they only do it if the price changed within 7 days.

Extremely uncomfortable to wear and gives me headaches after use. I love this company, but this product misses the mark.
