It was very hard to get info about this camera from Best Buy employees.

The purchase of my dash cam met all expectations. I'm very pleased with the product.

Worked great for a while but then failed from heat. Replacement failed a few months later. Upgraded to the F850.

1. had to add two apps, information was not in the instructions 2. the very next day it video a separate accident, the information was useless as none of us could pull up information at the scene. Great product, useless apps to get information quickly. 3. cant find information online other reviews.

Got the Thinkware F750 Dash Cam at Best Buy about three weeks ago. Overall, setting and installing the dash cam wasn't too bad. Running the power wire wasn't bad at all, although a pro install job at Best Buy would be better. The mobile app is pretty good, except you have to connect to the dash cam's wifi every time you open the app. The unit is small so it fits in front of the rear view mirror and is not visible from the driver's side. It is quiet unless you connect your phone (unless you have certain warnings enabled). The Dash Cam Viewer for PC (Mac version) is pretty cool (see attachment). That's as big as it gets, and I can't get the gps info to show up. Support says it takes "a while." Sure. After calling customer support (it's quicker than email), I was told the latest Apple software for the Mac renders the gps/map feature unusable. I'll have to wait for a software update from Thinkware. The real sticking point and struggle was viewing the videos. They are in MP4 format, and I thought the viewer wouldn't work with that format because the files were grayed out and not bold like most viewable files are for other apps. Well, turns out you just have to click on Open - and wait. When viewing on the phone it takes a while for the phone to read the 80 mb video, and sometimes it stops and goes back to the list of videos. To get the videos from the unit to your computer you have two choices: take out the microSD card, put it in a tiny, supplied adapter, and plug it in a USB port. Or, you take your phone (Android or iPhone, or iPad), download the videos you want to your phone, then send them to Dropbox. If you don't have Dropbox I don't know how you would transfer them, except with Apple or Android phone transfer apps. Keep in mind that you won't be able to change settings for view the gps/maps unless the viewer reads the videos from the microSD card. The video quality is excellent. You can print a screenshot of a frame or save the videos. The one minute videos are 80 mb each so they take a while to move to the phone, save to Dropbox and load into the PC viewer. You have lots of options from the outside of the unit: you can mute audio, format the micro sd card, reset the device. The unit is also small enough it's hard to spot from a sidewalk. The F750 has a lane departure and collision warning system! My Camry has those so I disabled them. I'm even thinking of getting the rear view camera, which integrates into the F750. You just plug it in and run the 21 foot cable to the rear camera. My experience with Thinkware customer support was interesting, but overall satisfactory. The first time I phoned, I called three times: once at 0905, then at 0913, then at 0920. The two times I got a recorded message at said they were open from 9 to 5 PST and leave a message or go to the website. The last time I called I reached "Anthony" fairly quickly (after pressing One for English. If I pressed two I would have to speak.....French!). With his help, I managed to install a firmware and software update on the microSD card and successfully update the unit. I also figured out how to get the PC viewer to load the MP4 files. I shared that with Anthony so he could tell others. :-) He did not know why the PC Viewer was not reading the gps info and promised to find out and let me know via email. Which he did quickly. In the email he said "it takes a while." I found out this morning that the latest update for Mac computers renders the gps/map feature useless. I will have to wait for a Thinkware update, I guess. Now I can't wait to show everyone what driving in Santa Maria is like!

The camera is a quick option until something better is available.

I was encouraged by prior reviews, but only after purchasing the F750 did I find out that an iOS or Android phone is REQUIRED in order to use the Wifi functionality of the device. You CANNOT connect to the device via Wifi from ANY Windows PC (PC/Tablet or phone). I do not and never will own an Android or iOS phone... so it was promptly returned to Best Buy. They do have a PC Viewer app... but configuration has to take place by physically swapping the microSD card from the unit. We own four Microsoft Surface tablets... running industry standard Windows. When Thinkware corrects this deficiency, I will reconsider.

It records videos in 1min clips! And the app that you have too use is terrible and has not seen an update in over 1 year! Not even iPhone 6 screen supported. Parking mode does not work. It's just records non stop while parked. And the SD card it ships with is so small you can only record for 3 hours, then it loops over.

In addition to taking video of average quality, all the rest of the advertisement of the 16GB SD card takes off only 2 hours after which it overwrites the new videos of old erases. Do not show the speed of the car which is very important to me. The remaining options do not work completely or do not even shake

The product is very annoying. Keeps saying random things like "Connected", "Now Recording". It easy to get distracted when this thing is on. Din't like the fact that it was not easy to install as well.

I have to admit I had used many dash cams, and I am really impressed with this camera. I am still wondering why this chose to use Wifi vs Blue tooth to connect to your mobile device I don't know. I thought for the price I would have had a rear view camera included with it, especially since I looked at a youtube video which shows that it comes in the UK packages. The camera as a whole is great. The desktop application is great. The only problem with is it is with the GPS map, never loads just shows a random line in which I am driving, which isn't too helpful. I still have yet to see how the parking mode works. I had enabled it yet I never see it work. other than that I would say it's a sturdy camera.
