Good, long wire fit for my f200 dash cam on a SUV size

I mean it's a wire it works but 30$? Come on.. it should be included.

Needed for direct install or battery install, cable is short depending on your application.

Best Buy sold this harness for “all” dash cams. However, the Best Buy dash cam installer claimed this harness was not designed for my web cam.

I bought this to go with the camera I purchased. Best Buy employees weren't too helpful ... cause they weren't around.

Additional accessories that should had came with the thinkwear dashcams.

This unit constantly runs on in a loop, you cannot zoom in to read license plates and when you try to review thumbnails it takes too long to locate actual important incident review! ! Would NOT buy thinkware X500 front and rear camera again! Get GoPro4 for awesome photos!

I purchased this so my dash cam could be hard wired into the fuse box of the car. Have not had any issues so far.

Make sure you consult a professional before buying. I talked to Best Buy employees online and in person before and even had to put the make and model of my car in to purchase. When I went for installation I found out that my car (a 2016 model) can’t be hardwired. I could return this, but now I am stuck with a dash camera that can’t do parking mode and I am out the installation fee.

Easy to connect to wiring harness. The 'always on' and 'accessary on' wires are clearly marked. There is plenty of length in the wire to run to the windshield. I installed these in a Fiat 500 and a Dodge Grand Caravan. I pulled panels to run them underneath and out of site. The wires are completely invisible.

I bought it “new” one with full price, but how can you send me “broken”, “used” one? Your installation staff was also surprised with me. I lost my 1day and wait another 14days.

Honestly this should have been included in the packaging for most of ThinkWare's Dash Cams but I can understand that some people would not use Parking Modes or they may feel that the installation of this is too involved. This is a great 'Accessory' that really differentiates what a premium dash cam can do versus a budget one. The Hardwiring Kit allows the dash cam to know when you're actually operating the vehicle or when the vehicle is turned off allowing the dash cam to actually switch modes to best suit the situation. Not only that but it allows you to free up a 12V outlet in your vehicle so you may charge/use other devices. The wires are of decent quality and I would highly recommend using a 'Add A Fuse Tap' to make installation cleaner and easier.

Easy to run and hook it up. Sucks that it comes separate. One issue with my car, the wire that hooks up to the radio fuse, had to use onstar fuse. On my car, the radio fuse still has power going to it when car is off.

Would have gotten 5 stars if optional hardwire was included So I bought the hardwire from same store as camera. It says 16' but it's actually a touch under 10'. I have a large truck Not sure if its long enough "Help!!!!"

This cable needs another couple feet of length. A lot of cars these days have their fuse box in the trunk - for example, my Dodge Challenger. Routing the cable the shortest route possible along the headliner, above the windows, then down through the back into the trunk left me about a foot or so short - two feet if I wanted the wire hidden in the trunk too. The Challenger is not even *that* long of a car and it's a shared platform with many other Dodge and Chrysler models, so this is going to be a common problem. I'll have to extend the length myself, which is going to leave splices in the wires. I know how to do this safely but I would assume that many do not, so this is definitely something Thinkware should consider. That said, I know of no other cable for Thinkware cameras so I have to recommend this if you're hardwiring - just prepare to extend the wires (or have a professional do it).

Found out later I need a hardwire kit to use certain features that’s built into the f800. This should of already be included especially at that price point. During install I found out I was short 2 maybe 3 feet. No matter if I route from the top or bottom. My fuse box is in the trunk and I have a four door sedan. Think twice before buying this kit.

Setup is fairly simple if you know how to pull out a fuse. I've had no issues setting this up in my two vehicles.
