I find the new one has good features to it which is the ability to type in the name of your destination such as an attraction and it has it in it's memory already with map and directions.

For other customers, the touch screen on the GO 50 S is the resistive screen which requires a bit more pressure when entering values. Additionally, regarding needing the internet data to use the device, that is a necessity to receive LIVE traffic. The website kept timing out. I called customer service. After he finally stopped trying to just go through his checklist instead of listening to me tell him the problem, the only solution was that my internet wasn't good enough and I could not update the maps wireless. I took it back and got a Garmin. Garmin maps updated just fine with my wireless internet.

For other customers, before updating please ensure that your security system is not prevent the MyDrive from functioning as it is supposed to as it may make the updating process longer and complicated.
Traffic information is not good

That is actually not the case – the GO 50 is made to connect to a smartphone in order to access our online Traffic server and receive the latest live traffic information.

Posted .Hello, thank you for the review. Please ensure that your device is up to date with the latest software version (13.060) as the screen sensitivity was improved significantly. When entering your addresses, please make sure that the search parameters of your device are on 'Whole Map" and not the default "Near Me" which limits the search to a 50 mile radius. Additionally, while you are searching, the Go gives you suggestions based on the values that you have entered so when you have typed part of and address or place, you can look at the suggested destinations by putting away the keyboard by pressing the button with 3 lines on the bottom right of the "Search" menu.
