The 3D map set up is much easier than other popular brand, which has a extended longer range and not like the the map shows it when turn is right in front you.

I like my Tom Tom XL One better!

I purchased this even though it did not have rave reviews based on my past experience with the brand. This one has less features than my 10 year old model and seems to connect to the signal much slower. Directions were accurate, the screen graphics helpful, but very slow to connect- sometimes up to five minutes before I got a signal. However, we drove from Canada to NYC to South Florida with very accurate directions albiet VERY slow start up/connection to GPS signal at power on. Also know that this model does not have live traffic updates. If you want to spend more money there are other models that have more features, however if you want to save a few bucks and don't mind loosing/waiting for the signal this one may work for you.

However, we're sorry to hear about the poor signal. We'd just like to confirm if you've tried updating the device to see if that helps? Updating QuickGPSfix update should normally be a major help.
If updates haven't helped, please contact us so we can investigate the problem. You can either ring (877-757-7137, Monday to Friday: 9 -8) or drop us an email ([email protected]).

Bang For My Buck

Thanks for writing this review. I'm not sure what you mean by 'pop up window' - there shouldn't be anything popping up while you're navigating, unless it's the Advance Lane Guidance screen, or it the device is alerting you to Traffic. These options can be changed int he Settings menu.
