I decided if it was already bothering me it was best to return it and cut my loses. I ended up getting a Dell instead and am much happier with the build quality and it's performance for just a couple hundred more.

I was only working with Ms Office applications and the PC was too slow. It may have just been the particular one I purchased but I returned it and bought the Surface 3 128 GB version with 4GB Ram I have a 1TB passport external drive so I'm good and OMG what a difference. The Surface 3 is amazing and I can carry it in my hand bag. But like I said it could have just been the one I had since the reviews were good, but I wasn't take any chances exchanging for the same product.

I understand that you already returned the product but want to just note, for future reference, that there's a good chance that Windows Update will be busy downloading & installing updates for awhile on a brand new PC. That's typically the case and, if so, will tax initial performance until the updating process is completed.
In any case, glad to hear that you're happy with your new computer and hope you'll look at the current crop of Toshiba units next time you're in the market.

Another horrendous aspect is the non-function of the "print screen" button which caused me a headache. Clearly, you cannot waste your time to get back to Best Buy to have it fixed and stay without a laptop for some days, especially when your whole world is on this device.

This model is equipped with Intel 5th Generation Core i3 processor and 6GB of RAM which, while a mid-level performance configuration, is fully capable of handling typical day-to-day consumer computing needs such as email, social media, general web browsing, and office automation programs, etc.
I wonder how long you've had this unit and if perhaps Windows Update has been busy downloading & installing updates. That's typically the case with brand new systems and, if so, it will tax initial performance until the updating process is completed.
Regarding the 'PrtSc' key function, as you may know, that key shares the cursor control 'End' key, which is the default function of the key. To trigger a 'PrtSc' function be sure to press and hold down the 'Fn' key before tapping the 'PrtSc' key.
Beyond those tips, if you feel that you're not getting commensurate performance for this hardware configuration, please contact Toshiba support at 800-457-7777.
