I bought it a little over a month ago and now it won't go past the start screen. I am beyond upset because i saved up for this computer for a while and now its a large paper weight.

Toshiba is poor quality from my personal experience. Both laptops I got a year ago keep freezing now and the audio went out on one of them. They never ran fast from the start either.

They would say "diagnosing problem" and were trying to fix the issue and you could only shut down the computer. Appeared to be operating system issues. I was back FOUR times and the manager switched them for different computers.

I understand that you already returned the unit but just wanted to point out that Toshiba support is available at 800-457-7777 for troubleshooting. They resolve most issues over the phone.
As the average star rating of 4.4 and 92% rate of customers who would recommend this model to friends & family indicates, your experience is highly unusual and this sort of issue shouldn't occur on a single unit, much less on two.

The salesman recommended this since it does have a 1TB hard drive! It was simple to set up and real easy for me to download my photos from my phone and backup it up! Windows 10 is a little different from my windows 8 computer but easy to get used to! So for the price you really can't go wrong!

The image quality was washed out, the plastic casing was flimsy, the power button felt weak and the computer was slow. Not impressed at all. You truly get what you pay for.
