    Love this amazing laptop. It is quiet, doesn't overheat after long hours on it and the keyboard is easy to use. Would def recommend and re-buy again.

    Before purchasing my remote start, my husband called Best Buy and asked about installation and if there were any hidden charges and the staff member said it was all inclusive in the selling price. At my installation appointment, I was hit with 150$ fee because my Toyota forerunner had a chip in the key. Make and model and year was given to the staff member prior to purchase.

      I wonder if Windows Update has been busy downloading & installing updates. That's typically the case with brand new systems, and if so it will tax initial performance until the updating process is completed.

      If you don't see performance commensurate with this models specs after all software updates are completed please contact Toshiba support at 800-457-7777 for troubleshooting help.

    I went to BestBuy to purchase a laptop that I had seen advertised. However when I saw the Toshiba and got a chance to test it, I knew that was the best option for me.

    Don't waste your money. This laptop does not even perform as well as the laptop I purchased more than 5 years ago. This laptop is slow and has frequent crashes due to memory usage

      This model is equipped with Intel's 5th generation core i3 processor and 6GB of RAM, which would normally be considered to be fully capable of handling any typical consumer level day-to-day computing needs such as email and web surfing along with general office productivity applications.

      System crashes can be due to hardware failure, but are most frequently caused by software issues. Possibilities include critical system file corruption, incompatible driver installation during an optional software update, unstable applications, and malware infection, among others. Any of these potential causes of crashes could also impact general performance.

      Performing a Windows Reset is the most straightforward way to determine whether you’re experiencing a software or hardware issue. The Windows Reset process will revert to the original factory software configuration so it's strongly recommended to first back up any critical data.       Windows installations on brand new computers will typically need to install updates to bring them up to date with any critical software changes that have been implemented after the computer's disk image was created. These will most come from Microsoft's Windows Update tool with the possible (but generally unlikely) possibility that an update is also available from the Toshiba Service Station app. Both of these sources can be trusted for installation of critical updates.

    I got this laptop and was completely disappointed. In less than a week, the laptop crashed on me twice while I was surfing the internet on a WiFi connection that I know was stable and secure. Then the laptop did a restore without me initiating it. I didnt think that was possible.

    Within five minutes of owning the product, one of the keys popped off the keyboard. It was not something that could be "snapped" back on without a specialized tool and therefore had to be returned.

    Great Laptop for $329.99!! I bought this laptop when it was that price and at that price its a bargain!! It still is at $379.99~ Touchscreen is fast, nice brushed aluminum finish, its not the best but it looks and feels great!! Thin, very nice screen, small portable charger the size of your palm~ core i3 processor, good for video editing And more multicore tasks, 6 GB of DDR3 Ram, adequate to run multiple programs and upgradeable to 16 Gb, AND LOTS OF SPACE with the 1 TB hard drive!! Best purchase of the year!!

    I bought this laptop with the intentions of using it for light play and for homework. Everything was great when I first took it out the box. The next day I believe the wireless card failed and now it will not even connect to the wifi

    The laptop froze the first day I turned it on. After I got it set up with ID and password and started the touch screen; it did not move after opening one application.

      With system freezes it's generally recommended to perform a Windows Reset, which will restore the laptop to its factory settings, to confirm whether or not the issue occurs when using the original factory software installation with no configuration changes or software installations. Make sure all of your files are backed up before doing this. That said, since you say the problem happened immediately after completing the Windows initialization process I would instead recommend that you contact Best Buy about having the unit replaced. Of course, you also have the option of contacting Toshiba support at 800-457-7777 if you prefer to send it to Toshiba for a warranty repair.
