Call me paranoid but I believe this weak vulnerable wi-fi extender cause my pc to get hack. It creates a 2.5 and 5.0 signals. More modern wi fi extenders take both signals and "combine" them into one.

Thank you for your review. This Wi-Fi extender, once installed, will use the same Wi-Fi encryption and password as your router. So as long as your router is secure, the extender will equally be. The extender's SSIDs (network names for 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands) can be customized using the web interface or the Tether app on your smartphone.

If you haven't noticed a significant improvement in Wi-Fi coverage after installing the extender, we recommend relocating the unit to a position within your home where the router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range. Please verify the RE status LED is indicating a solid connection.
