The app is a bit finicky at first but ultimately worked. Overall it worked for what I needed.

If you haven't noticed a significant improvement in WiFi coverage after installing the extender, we recommend relocating the unit to a position in your home where the router's WiFi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range. Please verify the RE status LED is indicating a solid connection.

Before I installed it, I couldn't get a signal outside. Now I get a signal all the way to the back of my yard. Installation, which was my main concern, was as easy as I read in some reviews.

Web based tether app functions well. 2.4 and 5 GHz Wifi-both signals adequate over >200 ft outbuilding to house. Functions in subzero temps. Purchased for ability to connect ethernet based appliance (solar inverter); wireless extension works well also.
