But I wasn’t able to use it as a mesh network. Which is why I bought it and to get ahold of customer support that’s a whole nother story. I have to return it. I researched a little and found the appropriate model.

Posted .Getting ahold of support should be fairly easy and straightforward. Support can be reached for free and 24 hours a day from any of these methods. https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/contact-technical-support/. The AX3000 Pro does support EasyMesh and we can very quickly walk you through setting that process up. We just need you to reach out via one of our available support methods.

We are very pleased with it and have great reception strength with it and great service. Very satisfied with the product.

It works great when it works, but when it stops working, it is not so great. Wish they lasted longer.

Our old router was able to connect better. But getting router setup was easy.

Not so! I have setup several routers over the years and they were fairly easy but I spent hours on this one with no luck. The modem provided a strong signal but this router would not connect with any of my devices. Called customer support and after a while they gave up. I finally called the Geek Squad and their tech took almost an hour to get it running. It has been running for five days now with no problems, but I certainly did not save any time or money with this selection.

Thank you for your review. It sounds like your cable modem's MAC (Media Access Control) binding needs to be released and renewed so it can provide an IP address (and Internet) to the Router. This can typically be done using the following steps:
1. Unplug the power from both your router and cable modem
2. Unplug the coax cable from the modem
3. Re-connect power ONLY to your cable modem
4. Wait until the cable modem is fully booted, then re-connect coax
5. Re-connect power to the router and connect it to the modem via Ethernet
This process should release and renew the MAC binding, so your modem can provide connectivity to the router.
