Okay....depending on Needs
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was relatively painless. However, it does take a while for the "child" APs to connect. And sometimes they dropped during setup. Case in point, the AP closest to the "home" unit had the most trouble, while the furthest one away with more blockers set up faster. They also tend to drop connection at times and will often "direct" wireless clients to units further away. In hindsight, I should have been smarter to use Unifi

Posted .Hello Benjamin
It sounds like you were setting up the satellites in the locations where you were going to place them. For Mesh systems its best to power up a Satellite unit close to the main unit. Once the Satellite has installed the configuration and has been added to the network then you can place it within the home at the desired location. If this was not clear in the instructions please let us know so we can provide that useful feedback to our development team. You can provide this feedback to ussupportteam@tp-link.com

Works for gamers in 2 story home very well
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even an expensive 6e wireless router wasnt enough stability and coverage for a 2 story home with gamers who notice lag spikes. So we decided a mesh system and we are pleasantly surprised. Having a satellite upstairs on the 6e wireless backhaul allows wired coverage from satellite to upstairs computers at a blazing 800-900 mbps. Thats near the advertised 1gig fiber we have except its passing wifi from downstairs to upstairs then wired. The unused 6e backhaul is pumping. Un-wired upstairs still gives a decent 500mbps. Would recommend!

What a joke!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I have the fastest internet speed available in my area, and these have by far failed my expectations. Set up was simple enough, the app interface is fine, and I was up and running in minutes. However, I have a small 1500 sq ft house, and have one pod in a triangulation placement within it for coverage. The connections are horribly spotty. Lagging, buffering and signal dropout a plenty. I did not have this issue with my single Linksys EA9300 Tri-band router. The reason for the upgrade was for newer tech and hopefully faster speeds, and by a recommendation from the Best Buy employee, who stated he had the "same set". This set absolutely stinks as far as connective reliability goes. It's just dismal. They all go "offline" at random intervals, and don't want to stay connected. God, how I wish I had returned them. One should not have to reboot the modem and everything else on a daily basis just to have Wi-Fi. You have got to be kidding me. Stick with Linksys. $300 Fail.

Decent upgrade over what I had
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product as a hopeful upgrade over my Eero Mesh System. While I have noticed a difference over my Eero system, I was disappointed that many of the parental settings for managing my son's internet activity that were standard with the Eero software have to be purchased as add-on's with the Deco system.

Unstable connection
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried these for two weeks and had to return them. The speed is super fast and the coverage is one of the best that I’ve tested for the price. The biggest problem: My wife works from home and I do as well on occasion so we need a stable connection. These are the most unstable networks I’ve seen. It cuts out every few minutes. Most devices won’t be affected because it reconnects quickly, but it is a pain in the butt when you’re doing video calls.

Strongest mesh WiFi system I've used
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good, but I did need to schedule weekly system restarts (which you can do from within the app). That's the only reason I've deducted one star. It's much stronger and more reliable than other mesh wifi systems I've recently used. Would recommend.

Great mesh system, definitely overlooked
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this and the orbi ax4200 3 pack to see which would work best for my home and this deco mesh system was superior than the orbi. Don’t get me wrong the orbi was good but for the price the deco was a no brainer. Also, the deco produced better speeds during my speed tests. 100-150 mbps higher than the orbi!

Game Changer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoy online gameing with my 2 sons but we constantly had to deal with a mediocre wifi connection. At best the wifi download speeds were 20 to 40mb/ sec. Everyone I spoke with for a solution told me "run network cables, that's the best". While that is very true this is central Florida, no one wants to be in a 1000° attic running network cable! Long story short: We went from the old Google mesh 20 - 40mb/sec to a Nighthawk 40 - 60mb/ sec to the Deco AXE5400 Pro's Ethernet port speed of 700 - 850mb/ sec on average with 3 PS5's/ TV's/ and everything else on the network going at the same time. This is no joke!! Results will vary!!! If anything I mentioned above sounds like what you are going through give this a try! You just might love it! It's is a game changer to say the least!
