Customers are saying

Customers find value in the Deco XE75 Pro's ease of use, extensive coverage, and strong signal, with many praising the straightforward setup and excellent performance. The system's range is also frequently highlighted as a significant benefit. While some users experienced connection issues and found the parental controls limited, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns for most. The app is also appreciated for its user-friendly design.

    Constant connectivity issues

The devices themselves are pretty impressive and have both great range and high throughout (even through multiple walls and floors). Unfortunately the system is plagued by incredibly frequent drops in connectivity, both between Deco units and between AP and client. The issue seems to have gotten even worse with the latest firmware update - at this point i can't go 5 minutes without losing connection when streaming from any device in the house, even a tv located a handful of feet from the base unit. I've been recording telemetry from my modem and none of the drops are related to service disruptions at my ISP and are strictly related to issues with the Deco system. Even the Deco app shows zero problems with interference or band congestion after using the network analyzer tool several times. It's just a faulty system.

The hardware is nice, and that’s what’s stopping me from giving this a 1-star review. The firmware and app are absolute junk, causing nothing but frustrations. A few examples: - Randomly browse around the app (iOS), the internet connection drops. - Tap the notification there’s a new firmware update - device can’t find the update. - Find the update and try to apply it, device can’t apply the update. - Randomly check for updates manually. The internet connection drops. - Try to make a change to a client (rename, assign static IP) - you guessed it - the internet connection drops. The only way I’ve successfully applied a firmware update is to search for the download on their support site and apply it through the web portal. There are much better options out there. Stay away from these.

      Hi JasonC,

Thank you for your review. In your case, we would first recommend rebooting the main Deco node, and try switching the Internet source connection (Ethernet from your modem, ONT, etc.) to another port on the main Deco.

We would appreciate the opportunity to follow up with you to address any remaining concerns you may have about your experience. Our house is a mid century ranch. There is an older type of Sheetrock that makes up the walls. We have some I-steel beams through the basement. All combined our WiFi had dead zones with previous internet service providers. We cut the cable and reached out to our new fiber optic internet service provider. I was told to purchase a mesh WiFi network to add to their modem and router. They mentioned a different brand. I chose to do some reading and research and the online reviews of this TP link system were excellent, including those pc magazines. Best Buy’s store personnel went over devices but said this is a great system and easy to set up. It was! Our WiFi is vastly improved in the house.

      Hi SandyC,

Thank you for your review. Our Deco Mesh Wi-Fi systems offer a robust, reliable whole-home mesh Wi-Fi solution to replace your existing Wi-Fi router. In your case, we first recommend connecting the main Deco node directly to your existing Internet source (e.g., your modem, ONT, or existing gateway) via Ethernet. If you prefer to continue using your existing router as your main network gateway, you can conveniently connect the main Deco node to your existing network via Ethernet and configure the Deco in Access Point Mode using the Deco app.

Our support team is always available and happy to assist with any questions you may have about our products. Feel free to contact us through any of the resources provided with the product or on our official website, and a Support Agent will follow up with you directly.
