    I’m really impressed by this mesh router system. All 3 have the same ports so any of them can be a router. You just have to connect to your Internet modem and it will figure everything out. Syncing was automatic. A huge upgrade from my google mesh.

    I purchased this mesh system in May 2024. As of today April 2025 I have been experiencing a lot of unstable connections, it started after 10 months and I called Deco customer service, and surprisingly, the plug-in ports are not working properly, the CSR said they would send me a replacement since it is still under warranty. I'll see how this replacement works.

      Just so its clear TP-Link Support cannot just send a replacement. There is a process and one of 4 shipping methods must be selected by the customer. I just want to make sure its not thought that we just send the replacement and that your experience with support is not diminished as a result.     Worked for maybe a 2 months and then the issues started. Internet connection randomly drops. Frequent reboots to get the system to work. It appears to be a wide spread issue based on what I’m seeing in the forums. TP Link hasn’t updated the firmware in over a year and don’t seem to really be actively supporting the product. Would not recommend. It’s too late for me to return this system and I just bought an Asus system to replace this one.

    You MUST install an app on your Smartphone to configure this router. AFTER you set it up it doesn't enable a webgui however, there are no admin level functions here. All of it requires use of an app on your phone. Otherwise works fine after some trouble with the nodes not connecting. Also had to manually set my connection type as it could t detect the IP settings from the modem automatically.

      Mesh systems like Deco when first launched were launched were designed around a simplified management app. Most still only offer management through the app. This is because most users are not power users and the traditional GUI is linked to more traditional style routers. Deco does have a limited UI but it is only for diagnostics, and manual firmware. tplink
