    TP Link Products are Trash

    At first it worked as it should. I would constantly have slow down issues in which Spectrum would keep deferring back to TP Link as the problem. I didn’t believe it but accepted Spectrum was the issue. All of a sudden back in April 2024 (Purchased October 2023) the unit’s are shot. I spent hours troubleshooting with TP Link and all they can say is that there is no fix and they would warranty them out. The customer service is poor as a heads up if you don’t purchase some form of a protection plan. They must be out of China as when I was awake during the day I could not get help but when I was asleep they would follow up with me. Moral of the story is I am less then a year in with a completely different model number as I believe this one has had many issues and TP Link switched me to a comparable unit. I am going back to Netgear once this unit dies.

    A little patients to get it hooked up but once it was....love it! Way faster and longer range than my previous router and range extender together!!! Super Happy!!!!

    Do not buy Deco. They are TP link and may be kicked out of the US for not conforming to security.

    Did not work well in 2,000sf

    Strength at the main device was very strong but both the other units were a fraction of the strength. Tried different setups for over two hours and never saw speeds more than 10% of main connection in a 2,000sf home. Returned for my money back. I read easy to set up and it should be easy not two hours later and fractional speeds on 2/3 of the system. I read 7,200sf - 2,000 should be super strong on all three.

    Straight trash. Returning after a week of frustration. I have 1GB fiber and cant even stream video without it pausing and eventually stopping altogether. Doesnt matter which streaming service, same thing happens ever time. Done dealing with a subpar product delivering subpar results. Its 2024, why does your product suck this much?

    Purchased this item. Was unable to get it hooked up. Call TP Link and they tried to help me over the phone. The service rep. Had a hard time, he was from another country, didn't understand English real well. Took product back to Best Buy. They refunded me. No hassles.

    Works good initially, then performance degrades

    When it works, it works well. I had to take on of the satellite devices offline when it slowed to a crawl. Now the other one is acting up. Would not recommend

    If I could give Zero Stars I would. I bought the system to help with WiFi issues initially it work for a while and it does not. Nothing is more frustrating then you internet dropping.

    Don't get it from Best Buy

    This product is great, but don't buy it from Best Buy! I paid Best Buy an extra $23.96 for next day delivery. Delivery was delayed and Best Buy did not refund the fee for service that was not provided, even after I brought it to their attention. I will not be doing business with this company going forward.

    IoT network was not stable with Ring devices, 6E wireless backhaul was not stable. Nodes were dropping off the network. App was pretty bad as well. Returned them and got the Eero Pro 6E.

    Good hardware but Deco app reports are useless

    The hardware is good. The app and reporting is absolutely terrible. It doesn't track cumulative usage, has no option to quickly shut down the wifi. Totally useless when dealing with ISP data limits. Based on the app, I would say to avoid all Deco products. Sadly I didn't figure this out until I was past the deadline for returns.

    If you can spell 'network' stay away

    If you do more than watch t*kt0k on your phone, stay away. You cant change the subnet like EVERY OTHER manufacturer allows. Its called "Pro" which would make you think that someone who understands networks would want it. False advertising in my opinion. I had to factory reset no less than 5 times just to complete setup. This used to be a respected network gear company. Now I'll avoid them at all costs.

    Dont buy this System and same with Best Buy “total

    Terrible System and Best Buy Total is a complete joke. They do not cover items like they said they do when I purchased the Best Buy Total Care for $180. Please do not buy. I don’t know if it is my device but I spent 4 hours with TCP-Link (manufacturer) and then called Best Buy Total and they said they want to send someone to fix it that has no experience and if the manufacturer can’t figure out what is wrong after 4 hours, I should be able to exchange it but the Total Care will not help. I thought TOTAL Care means “Total Care” but it is not the case. Plus, my mom has cancer and is immunodeficient from chemo and we can’t have strangers come over. Plus, I don’t have a Best Buy close to me too return or exchange. I’ve never seen such a bad company and I spent $360 on this router that has malfunctioned since day 1.

    Terrible WiFi

    First things first this device feels extremely cheap and doesn't work right at all. Once I hooked everything up, devices kept connecting and disconnecting and the speed is extremely slow. Took it back and got the Eero mesh network and that is working so much better compared to this. Save your money and time. Don't buy this trash.

    Worst routers I’ve ever used. Returned.

    These routers are absolutely horrible: 1.They drop most devices daily. 2. You can’t manage router via LAN. 3. In AP mode they don’t do VLAN tagging. 4. Clients will be connected to LAN and not show in the app as connected. 5. The “address reservation” doesn’t work properly. 6. On top of all of this, the Deco App requires constant refreshing to even say the nodes are connected properly. I tried resolving these issues for about a month, and then switched back to my old setup (which worked great). Then I bought a newer setup (UniFi). Which is now working better than ever. Steer clear of these TP Deco Routers!!

    Mesh Routing System Did Not Work Well For Me
