    I bought this because the Wyze camera was out of stock. I really rarely write reviews, but I have developed such a hatred for this product. 1. The only thing you get without paying for a subscription is live feed. No event recording at all (this is included in the Wyze camera basic plan with no subscription). So the camera notifies me when it detects motion, but unless I see the notification immediately and open the app, I won't know what triggered it. 2. This camera can detect only people instead of detecting all motion, except it totally doesn't work. It triggers 20+ times a day while I'm not home, so either my dog sets it off or it's phantom people. I really feel like we have the technology to differentiate a dog from a person. I put this in as feedback to Kasa and have heard nothing. 3. You can only see this feed through a phone app. I feel like it would be so easy to make a website or at least have it available to cast. 4. You can pan this camera, but it kind of sucks. It often turns the wrong way and is SUPER laggy. 5. You can't share the camera with other users. If I want to give other people access to the camera I literally have to give them the login to my account. If I still had the box for this I would return it instantly.

      1. The Kasa Camera supports 24/7 rolling recording to an inserted Micro SD card (not included) without any subscription fees. However, if you would like activity-based, cloud-storage recording, a subscription to Kasa Care is required.

      2. The camera supports both Motion Detection and Person Detection, and will provide a notification depending on which type of motion (person or general motion) was detected.

      3. You can cast the live feed to a supported device such as Fire TV (after integrating Kasa with Alexa), Echo Show, Google Chromecast and more.

      4. We would highly recommend ensuring your camera's firmware is fully up to date. You can perform the firmware update conveniently via the Kasa app.

      5. Currently, if trying to access the camera from multiple smartphones, they must all log into the same Kasa account. We appreciate your feedback regarding this type of feature and we will share it with our Kasa team for consideration.

    This is the only camera I have that you definitely CAN NOT use without a password protected internet service. Other then that its not bad.

      Currently TP-Link does not have a Kasa Camera that is currently compatible with HomeKit. We do offer limited compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistance. If you saw anything that showed it was please let us know at ussupportteam@tp-link.com tplink
