I bought two of them for my kids room. Got these because of the SD slot and not having to pay for a service. Well, one stopped reading the card altogether, and the other would give me trouble connecting. Also, moving the camera around on the phone was about a 2 second delay. You just have to hope your moving enough and not too much. Or else you doing it again. I don’t recommend these. I switched to WYZE cam even though you can’t move the camera around

Thank you for your review. We always recommend ensuring your router's Wi-Fi signal is adequately strong in the device's location. Within the Kasa Smart app there's a feature that allows you to measure Wi-Fi signal strength of your devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.
If the signal is within the ideal range and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa Smart app is up to date, then update your smart device's firmware by selecting Home → Settings → Firmware Update within the Kasa app.

I gave the Kasa a try and like it so much that I bought a second one to replace the older dlink. Love the fact that it can identify a person and follow that person as long as they’re in sight.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.when the camera works it works great! great video, audio, motion detection. however one caution. don't uninstall the app or remove the device. i had to uninstall/reinstall my app on my phone and now when i try and re-add the camera it will add it but as soon as i switch from wifi to mobile data then the app will not show the camera that i just set up and added so i have to reset the camera and re-set it up and then i have to do the same thing over again after a few minutes. not worth buying even for the $40 sale price that i purchased it at. 10/10 would not recommend to anyone!

Posted .Once the camera is configured there is no need to reconnect it to the app, even if you uninstall and reinstall the app. Because once the product is configured its linked to your TP-Link ID so all you have to do is sign back in to your account on the app and at the very most refresh the main screen. All of your devices should connect.

Able to pan the room as needed.Micro SD card can store video so you don't need a cloud subscription like you do with many other cameras.

I bought both the Spot and the Pan Tilt. The price is unbeatable and I placed the spot in my window in one direction. It is stationary. I then purchased the Pan tilt for my living room. The quality of the picture is really good for the price. I have had no problems accessing the cameras while away. If your not looking to spend a lot of money on camera's, These are inexpensive and worth the money.

The only downside is that the Kasa app cannot share two accounts. Records when motion is detected, follows motion, and has good resolution. Night vision odd in monochrome.

The camera tends to lag when I try moving it. And it’s very temperamental when moving. I could move it the slightest bit and it’s somehow moved 45° to the right…

App.is absolutely infuriating to use and this thing will burn up sd cards like hot potatoes.

If you find that you are encountering unusually high instances of Micro SD card issues, please ensure the cards being used are High Durability cards, which are designed and intended for repeated writing, and are designed for, and commonly used in security cameras, dash cams, etc.

A perfect video camera

This video camera works perfectly with sound and video over the internet which is very secure.
