This plug can be programmed to work with Google Home products and Alexa products in my experience. Its recommended you download the Kasa app initially just to get it setup. From there, it easily pairs with Google Home and through some navigating, Alexa as well. Pretty simple and comparable to other plugs out there including Wemo. Since installing it, I haven't had any issues on connecting when needed. The app is fairly robust but I have a mixture of devices so its easier in my setup to work them off Google Home or Alexa.
