Thank you for your review. We always recommend ensuring your router's Wi-Fi signal is adequately strong in the smart device's location. Within the Kasa app, there's a feature that allows you to measure Wi-Fi signal strength of your smart devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.
If the signal is within the ideal range, and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa app is up to date, then update your smart device's firmware by selecting Me → Firmware Update within the Kasa app.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I have about 10 of the Kasa Mini smart plugs already and love them - a breeze to set up and have worked for years! This one - not so much. Forces you to use the HomeKit set up, which requires you to scan the QR code or enter an 8 digit code. Guess where Kasa put the code? It’s on the UNDERSIDE of the plug, so if your outlet is near the floor, you have to lie on the floor to see the face of your phone in order to capture the scan properly. Genius. So I worked through that problem by taking a photo of the QR/code numbers, but now HomeKit still can’t find the plug and I’ve tried about a dozen times now. Have restarted phone and re-plugged the plug, network is 2.4 ghz, etc - no idea why this isn’t working and really wish the HomeKit set up was an option, not a forced method - there are no other options provided. I will be returning these - I bought two, and neither one will connect.
