Love this item! Slowly replacing switches for Alexa enabled switch which can be voice controlled, grouped, and even put on timers. I love this product so much, and Kasa switches are reliable and easy to install. O'm not an electrician. Install took 5 minutes!! Couldn't recommend this product more!! I love it!!!

The Kasa switch allows for you to turn any light fixture into a smart one. Simple installation, as long as you have an existing neutral wire, and super simple set up in the app. I use Google Assistant routines to control my switches and just asking Google to turn on a light without having to fumble in the dark looking for the switch makes it even easier.

Bought this for my mom, who is not tech-inclined, but it was still very easy to teach her how to set it up and use it with the native app, as well as the google home app. She has a few more just like it now, and some bulbs to match.

The TP-Link switch works well stand-alone, and over wifi with the Kasa app or with Alexa. The video instructions are pretty detailed and easy to follow. The hardest part is finding enough room in the outlet box for the switch and the wiring. I installed it in the bathroom and I like being able to dim the lights in the middle of the night if I get up.

Was looking for a economical solution to bring my home further into the smart home realm. This switch was exactly what I wanted to connect to my google home to automate the lights in my kitchen. Plus Best Buy’s shipping was lightning fast and it arrived just like I would expect when I would normally pick it up from the store. A+++

I purchased a GE switch last year but never got around to installing it. When I finally discovered I realized I needed an additional hub to use it, something I didn’t need with this switch. It was as easy to install as any normal light switch, just make sure the box it’s going into is a large space, since all of these smart switches are large.

Got this for my bedroom, starting a smart home and this was an affordable route than buying smart bulbs and the dimming feature is great in the room. Works great with my Google home and super easy to install and setup! I actually went and got 4 more smart switches exactly the same minus the dimmer feature all work great

I love this thing. The ability to control my bedroom lights while in bed is a game changer. The app is very well laid out and the quality of the switch itself is very good. The app is what really makes this stand stand out in my opinion. You can’t go wrong with this!

I love these light switches. It works from your phone or from the switch I programmed mine to come on at 7:30 at night and go off at five in the morning. You can function everything from your phone even if you’re not at home. it’s easy to set up and works great you don’t need to buy any extra equipment to make it work either

I got this for our basement entertainment room. Before one of us would have to get up and manually turn down the lights for a movie or game. Now, just pull up the app and do it while we are lounging. Yes, it makes that much of a difference lol. Installation was easy and the app is easier. Highly recommend!

Fairly easy to install. It does take some review and checking on-line to understand what and why you need to connect various wires. The first switch took about 15 minutes. The second switch, I didn't do my homework. I need a 3-way switch with dimmer capability. TP-Link has one or the other, but not both. I may have to review what I need accomplished and if TP-Link can do it or do I have to redo what I have done with new more capable switches, cameras and lights.

This switch does what I wanted. I can say "Alexa, goodnight" and the lights turn out in the bedroom and master bathroom where I have them installed. Installation was easy, but I'm a Software Engineer with mechanical and wiring experience, so I might breeze right through something that someone else might struggle with. I don't remember anything that seemed like it would challenge someone used to technology or DIY though. My only note is: don't be afraid to use force to re-insert the switch into the electrical housing. You have to put pressure on the stiff wires to bend them so it fits. What's not great, is that the lights in the master bedroom are LED bulbs, and they don't get as dim as they did with a regular dimmer. To be fair, I'm not sure if the LED bulbs are intended to be dimable, we bought them a long time ago. They don't flicker or anything though. The LED lights also make some noise when dimmed (I noticed, but my wife hasn't yet.) I'm also not sure if they made the noise with the old dimmer. The other annoying thing is, they have a status light that cannot be turned off. It's a white ring that is clearly visible when the switch is off. I think I can tell when the switch is off without it, it would earn you another star if I could disable that. The lights in the master bathroom are incandescent, and work great. They get really dim until you can just see the filament glowing.

The Kasa smart light switch dimmer is probably one of the best investments I’ve made to improve the function of my home. It’s a matter of preference and convince. When your nice and warm in the bed or couch it’s definitely nice to not have to get up after being so comfortable to turn off the light switch. I love it!
