This creates a separate username/pw situation that differs from your primary network. Devices don't seamlessly transition from 1 to the other, so periodically you're prompted to login again. Kind of annoying. But otherwise the device works well.

Purchased Wifi Extender

So far it seems to be working great and has helped boost the signal.

Great extender if you have dead spots

Plug in into an outlet and use your phone to download the app and connect to your home WiFi. Depending on your home layout it can give you a little better signal. I put it on the second floor. Modem is in basement. I get about 2mb more on the second floor using this.
