It works much better than the $60 USB modem I bought for it less than a year ago. The other provides a signal to the back of our home and we can now watch Netflix and download to the dvr without a problem. I highly recommend this.

It does tend to be a tad on the slower side. I have 300Mbps internet and this hardly gets 10Mpbs in my home. If you need an extender for something like a TV, this will work well.

Thank you for your review. Please bear in mind WiFi extenders utilize half-duplex transmission. As a result, throughput when connecting to the extender may be reduced when compared to the router. This is an industry standard for WiFi extenders and is not exclusive to TP-Link.
In your case, we recommend relocating the unit to a position in your home where the router's WiFi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range. Please verify the RE status LED is indicating a solid connection.

The product is well made and simple to setup. The instructions provide with the product are easy to follow. I am having a lot of success with this extender. The price is well worth the investment.

No I do not have any problems with Internet using my laptop outside of the house - in my Lanai (it's Florida).

In other words if you have a dead zone in your house this will send the signal to the farthest corner. The price is that no video can stream in the speed is incredibly slow. I want up needing to move my router to a more Central position in the home to make a satisfactory signal and speed reach to the farthest corners.

The majority of wireless extenders, from all current manufacturers, are designed to transmit data at half duplex speeds.
Basically, this means that the extender cannot send and receive data simultaneously as a result, this will limit the overall bandwidth provided by your ISP.
If your current service plan is 10Mbps or below, we would strongly recommend another solution for extending your wireless coverage as the end result may not be as rewarding as you may have originally anticipated.

Easy set up with the tether app and pair nicely with the TP-Link router I already had. Great value for what I needed.

I had two choices left, this one and a little bit more expensive one. As of writing this review it seems to be doing its job. Setup is also simple and straightforward.
