    Our router is in the upstairs of our house, and we have plaster walls throughout, so this does not give good signal when in another room. Ultimately traded this out for a slightly pricier, better quality item.

    Don’t waste your money

    I bought this extension when my company sent all of us to work at home. My office is far away from the router so the strength of the signal was weak, this extender was supposed to fix it. Anytime my laptop would connect to the extender the signal was even worse and most of the time I would need to reconnect to the router itself to be able to work. I ultimately got rid of this extender and the router and replaced with a mash system

      Thank you for your review. Please bear in mind WiFi extenders utilize half-duplex transmission. As a result, throughput when connecting to the extender may be reduced when compared to the router. This is an industry standard for WiFi extenders and is not exclusive to TP-Link.

    Does not give us the extended service needed. Our router is in the basement and we added this hoping we could get better service upstairs. Disappointed.

    No good if you have ATT

    Terrible. I have ATT for my service provider and I use their equipment. 2 hours of screwing around with this stupid extender and the thing doesn't work. It won't even give off the signal to allow my iPhone to connect to it. All 3 are getting returned. It legit gives you the "unable to connect to the TP-Link Network" error message.

    Am using as an access point. Setup easily but 1 or more times a day loses connectivity for no apparent reason. so Not acceptable!

    This WiFi range extender causes problems

    I had hoped this range extender would solve the problem of a dead zone in my house. However, it just caused more network issues. It would drop connections intermittently for tablets, smart phones and laptop PCs. And often it would put the laptop PC connection into "limited" status where there was a WiFi connection but no internet. I thought it would be a cheap solution but again you get what you pay for. Do not buy this product to extend your WiFi.

    Was very disappointed with this extender since I followed the directions and it just did not work. Maybe it was since our router is an older model but it just did nothing. The website said it could not find the router yet it was plugged into it. So we return it. We really did want it to work.

    It is an ok wifi extender if you are only looking to extend 2.4 ghz. I did not realize until after i bought it that it doesn't support 5G
