Needed an option to be "wired" into the internet for my laptop since we use terminal servers for work (which takes up a lot of bandwidth). Although many people disagree, this has been working great for me! No internet issues since I purchased and started using this!

A reliable way to connect to a modem elsewhere

This device provides a reliable, fast enough connection to my modem one floor down. Installation was simple. The two devices are connected to different circuit breaks and work fine. I have not attempted to measure the speed but it appears at least adequate for my modem using signal from the phone company.

Was hesitant to try this but I saw some positive reviews. It is fantastic. Extends ethernet without running wire. All you have to do is plug it in. Anyone can make it work. Will be buying two more units. Highly recommend it.

No issues, connected easy and continues to perform as expected. I used ut to hook up a second wireless router in my house. Running 10mb down and 20 up on it. Fine for its intended use. Main wireless router runs around 500mbps

I bought the TP-Link starter kit, because I didn't know exactly what I needed and when I opened the package and read the instructions I knew what I'd done wrong in the first place. I connected the bridge previously installed into a power strip instead of the wall outlet and there was no connection! I fixed that, wrapped the package up and returned it to Best Buy and the wonderful staff member a customer service made me feel like a valued customer as she managed my return. I really love the service and support I get from everyone at Best Buy. And commend the folks at TP-Link for really excellent instructions!

I was very sceptical that this would work, but I tried it anyway. It took a few tries on different outlets to get them to communicate with each other, but I eventually got it to work. The speeds that we got from the system was very impressive. We have used it to add another wifi router to our network in our large home to add better reception throughout the home. I have to say that we are very pleased with the outcome.

Easiest setup ever for wired internet. Not the same as direct ethernet cables but still pulling down 100 mbps per device with these. YMMV

These work very well for when you can't run cables and WiFi is just not a good option. My office is on the far end of the house from the location of the wireless router and just on the outside edge of range. My ping latency to the router was 5-9 ms on wireless and very inconsistent. It dropped to a consistent sub 1 ms when I switched to the powerline bridges. If the house weren't a rental and I had more options to run Ethernet cable, I'd go that route but given that that's not an option right now, these do the trick.

While the TP-Links were easy to set up the connection speed was worse than my poor wifi.

Hi,
Thank you for your review. Powerline data transfer rates will vary due to network environment variables including: distance between adapters, network traffic, noise on electrical wires, building material and construction, quality of electrical installation and other adverse conditions.
First, please ensure both Powerline adapters are plugged directly into wall outlets - no surge protectors or power strips as these will directly interfere with the connection. We recommend following the suggestions outlined in our FAQ here to help optimize the performance of your Powerline connection: http://www.tp-link.com/us/faq-409.html
If you would like assistance with any of these steps, please reach out to our free support team using any of the resources included with the product, or from our official website, and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.
Thank you, TP-Link Support
