I was looking for something from Trac phone that had just that little bit extra if I ever needed it! This has worked great for me as I am only using it for emergencies

I did purchase the phone but ended up returning it because I thought it had more features on it. Because I was going to use it for business not pleasure the features were important.

Has every function and feature any basic user needs or could want. But tends to freeze for 7-8 secs frequently. Maybe because of a less powerful processor than desired.

Way better than their old models. Downside is the small amount of memory provide and how minutes are deducted for text messages regardless if you open them.

It works just as expected. Picture quality is a bit lower than I expected. Size is nice; trim and lightweight. It recharges quickly,

Unfortunately, my experience with this phone has been terrible! When I charged the phone up to 100percent the next day without using it ,it was dead. Will be bringing the phone back this weekend.

    Best Tracfone yet!

I purchased this as an upgrade from a Samsung Galaxy Stardust running Android 4:3 Jelly Bean. That OS made the phone quite useless as most of the apps I wanted did not work on it. The new Galaxy Luna is a pleasure in every way. Great updated OS which allows me to use wanted apps for banking, travel, etc. 4G network gives great reception. It is a good size-not too big like the previous Lollipop phone which Samsung put out. I was able to get my number and minutes transferred from Customer Service in about 20 minutes on the phone. The only major complaint I have is the placement of the power button which is down near the middle of the side of the phone which could be easily pressed while simply holding the phone. My previous phone and tablets all have it at the top on the right . I don't think this was a good design change for Samsung. The Tracfone Easy Transfer app only transferred part of the content from my old phone so I am having to install music and pictures manually from my computer onto the SD card. Over all I would definitely recommend this phone. Even better if you can wait for a sale to get the best price.

Read reviews after purchase and found out there were issues with keeping my same phone number. So I returned it as I did not want to hassle with this issue. But if I didn't mind getting a new phone number I think this is a good phone for any one that wants cheaper "smart phone"

Phone does not meet manufacturer's specifications

Owned phone for: 2 Days I purchased this phone to replace an older LG that I had for a few years. I thought Android 6 Marshmallow would be an improvement over the version 4.4 KitKat that my LG had. Surprisingly, even though this phone has a quad core processor, installing apps from the Google Play store takes about the same amount of time or longer compared to my LG that has only a dual core CPU. The screen is not fingerprint resistant and attracts fingerprints like crazy. With my LG, I could literally wipe the screen with my finger to remove fingerprints. With this phone, attempting to wipe away fingerprints just smudges the screen even more. Not sure why that is but you might need to get a screen protector for this phone if you want to minimize fingerprints. The screen is also very bright and sharp but oranges are way over saturated. Luckily this can be compensated for by changing the screen mode to Basic in Settings which lowers the color saturation. not a big deal but the bright orange can be hard to read against a white background. The camera is really good on this phone and the LED is super bright. The back-plate snaps off easily and a micro SD card can be quickly inserted. No removal of the battery is necessary. But my complaint is that this phone does not live up to the specifications it is advertised for. Various sources indicate that the phone has 1.5Gb of RAM. https://droidchart.com/samsung/samsung-galaxy-luna-luna-1970 and https://www.hsn.com/products/samsung-galaxy-luna-45-super-amoled-tracfone-bundle/8242524 However...this phone is only equipped with 879.45Mb of ram. This was verified with CCleaner, CPU-Z, and Antutu benchmark. 878Mb might be enough but if you're hoping for the 1.5Gb of RAM as advertised, you're out of luck. The phone appears to have 8Gb of storage split up between system storage and internal storage. If you need more space for your apps you can just put a micro SD card in the phone and use an app called AppMgr or App 2 SD to transfer apps to the SD card to free up internal memory.

    Drains battery fast

The only complain about this phone is the battery. I am not heavy on my phone. The longest time I am on the phone is when I do my Duolingo language learning maybe for 30 minutes and I do not check my phone a lot for messages. I have the display brightness to the lowest setting and I watch the % of my battery going down very fast. I have to bring the charger to work. I did not need to do this on my LG41C that I just replaced.

Lot of Bloat Ware and Questionable Battery Life

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Needing more battery life for a couple of heavy duty apps, I chose the $80 Galaxy Luna. It advertised 2x the voice time (18 hours) and 2x the operational battery time (17 hours) as compared to my Galaxy Core Prime at a price I could afford. I charged the Luna overnight, to 100% . I then started to reconfigure the Luna, tried to reduce the bloat ware and started to disable some of the notifications. There had to be at least 6 times as many apps, utilities and other bloat ware on the Luna as that on my Core Prime. The apps on the main screen, were actually folders with a myriad of predefined apps within each. I was unable to decipher what most of the utilities did or if they were needed or not. It was overwhelming. I had the battery saver activated, no added apps and the phone was NOT activated (tracfone – No minutes). After just 1 hour, the battery usage went from 100% to 89%, with only 11 operational hours left (not the expected 15+ after an 11% usage). My $30 Core Prime, with the loaded apps, does better then that . I guess its possible, that if all the unnecessary background routines were disabled, the battery life would meet the advertised values. I then reset the phone to factory specs and returned it to Best Buy. I cannot comment on the basic operation of the phone, so I’m giving it two stars assuming it functioned as well as my Galaxy Core Prime.

TracPhone, SIM card comes up with the wrong number transfered to me ! - TracPhone sends new SIM card. Also does NOT work. TracFone double bills me $34.25 for both SIMs, phone does not work. So, I got Double Billed, $68.50 gone, no minutes, no texts, no MBs, no phone. Thanks alot TracFone. Three Calls to Support, First call was the chat & new SIM, second call he did not know what to do, third call she deleted my $64.50 balance and killed my first SIM by deactivating it, and the second SIM does not work, and I still do not have my number. I took pictures of every step and screen and chat, hopefully they will refund my $64.50 - but when I go to their support site now the page shows 404 - ??

Hello, Danny. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Smartphones have separate buckets of units for voice calls, text messaging and data usage and have the Triple Minutes feature. For example, a 60 Minutes “Pay As You Go” TracFone card redeemed on a Smartphone will provide 180 minutes for voice, 180 text messages and 180 MB of data. Voice calls are charged at the rate of one (1) unit per minute. Text messages are charged at the rate of one (1) unit per text. Data is charged based on actual usage. TracFoneWireless
