Dylan isn't the first person to cover these standards and he isn't here to make them sound as pretty as some. But the life time of experience informs these songs perhaps as only Bob Dylan can.

I admit I was a doubter that Bob's voice would work with classics from Frank Sinatra, etc. but I was wrong. Three whole CDs of classics continuing from his last two releases sound great!

For Dylan fans, this will be recognized instantly as a valiant effort at bringing back the smooth soft cocktail hour lounge brass music. His voice is as powerful as ever.

Wonderful covers of the American Songbook Classics by the one and only Bob Dylan. Always changing paths and forging ahead. The innovator has done it again. A must buy.

Bob Dylan has done albums of standards before but this 3 disc set is just the right choice, orchestration and delivery. It works beautifully and is wonderful to listen to.

It's not my favorite cds, but decent to listen too.

Band and arrangements are good. So are the song choices. Previous two cds like this are good as well but end too soon. Much nicer listening to three in a row.

Even though this is his third album of covers, I still find myself entranced by his productions of these obscure songs. A real delight!

Who would have expected Dylan to continue to astound and amaze after so many years. What will he do next? Only Bob knows.

I own the deluxe edition on vinyl but wanted the album on cd so done and done

Mr. Dylan can't sing but his phrasing is great. The arrangements are top notch. The use of the steel guitar in the arrangements is wonderful

Bob Dylan is always a good choice. And this album is pretty good!

Although the arrangements are very good and Dean Parks' guitar playing is outstanding, Dylan simply does not have the voice for interpreting American standards. Dylan's strength has been his writing. No songs on this three disc set are written by him. If you want a current CD with interpretations of American Standards, go with Diana Krall's latest.

It's not Dylan original music but it's one legend using other legends songs.

Tag on outside of wrapper states: "Bob Dylan - 30 New Recordings." Neither the front nor the back of the package state that this 3 CD set is Dylan singing old American Classics. It's a re-hash of Rod Stewart's "Great American Songbook." Has Dylan become that desperate for dough? Major disappointment - I was expecting 30 new recordings of Dylan singing Dylan compositions. Save your money and just re-listen to your old Rod Stewart CDs of the same songs. Dylan has nothing new to add to these classics. Had I been following his career more closely, guess I would have known what he was up to here.

This was a total disappointment. Not what I expected from Bob Dylan. His voice is not getting any better. Bad waste of my money.
