Verdict: The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 Headset is a good option for an inexpensive, yet reliable gaming headset. It’s plug and play, so it always works! No charging or pairing. The sound quality is respectable. It’s mostly comfortable, but may not be optimal if you have bigger ears.
First Impressions. Included in the box are the headset and manuals. The headset feels light, but also sturdy... looks like it will last forever. I am not usually a fan of a white headset, but the color scheme on this works well.
Performance. Sound is good for gameplay; balanced lows, mids, and highs, with good surround sound for immersion and situational awareness of other players. I love the sound control wheel; it’s great for quick in-game adjustments. Wired connection is great for reliability and cross-compatibility. I use these on the PlayStation, and increasingly now with my PC because my monitor does not have speakers, and my BT headset for the computer often fails to connect sound or microphone. This headset just works, all the time.
Things I love:
- It’s affordable! A nice change from electronics that just keep getting pricier
- The head portion of the headset is comfortable; the floating concept with the mesh is a nice touch
- The headband is adjustable! I didn’t see that right away and couldn’t figure out how to adjust the height initially
- The sound is quite good, especially for the price
- The volume wheel on the back of the ear cup is a really convenient feature
- I love the flip to unmute / mute
- Plug and play with any 3.5 mm connector; no charging or BT setup
- Out of several headsets and headphones I have, this one is the most forgiving on putting pressure on my glasses, and then the glasses pressing against my head and giving me a headache
- The microphone performs well enough
Things I don’t love:
- Not the best passive noise cancellation, but loud enough to overcome external noise, so it’s ok
- The ear cup is on the smaller side… Probably great for some people, but they are not the most comfortable on my ears, even with memory foam. The fabric on the ear cups does feels nice.
Overall, this is a good headset for the price, simplicity, and performance. If the ear cups were just a bit bigger, these would get 5 stars all around. Nevertheless, these are still pretty great for the price and for no-stress gaming, especially if you don’t normally do hours of continuous gameplay (or you have normal to small ears).

Great Value Headset

Sometimes in life the most basic barebones simple things can be great.
This is the case with this headset from turtle beach the atlas air 200 are a very simple barebones headset, and guess what they are great.
Let me start with the sound it’s very pleasant sounding headset that bring a you a lot of excitement when playing games. The bass is a little heavy especially for fps it can sometimes be a little tough when lots of explosions are going off but being able to tell where sounds are coming from is pretty easy ok this headset.
My only complaint is when you put the volume up the headset can cause a little fatigue especially in the high end. But adjusting the volume with the knob the headset is very easy.
The headset is extremely comfortable and light, if your someone that especially doesn’t like how heavy some of the wireless headset can feel than this headset is for you incredibly light and just feels like it floats on your head.
The mic is pretty good, used it with some friends and no one had any issues hearing me, it’s not broadcast quality but it will get the job done without conplaints.
Overall this headset is great package the value proposition on this headset is amazing especially if your looking for something to just plug in and play with.

I have been using the Atlas 200 for a few weeks now and I am really impressed. The sound is full and detailed with clear highs and strong bass that makes games feel more alive. Directional audio is great too. I can easily tell where sounds are coming from.
The headset feels light and comfortable even after hours of use. The memory foam cushions do not get too warm and the floating headband adjusts nicely without squeezing. Build quality feels solid and the matte finish looks clean and durable.
The flip to mute mic is simple but works perfectly. Voice pickup is clear and it mutes instantly when flipped up. Plugging straight into the controller makes setup effortless. No software or charging needed.
The only gripe I have is the the headphone jack is a little here and there when playing. First off I'm used to wireless headphones almost exclusively since I've been gaming I can't remember the last time I used a wired one so they def have improved leaps and bounds but every now and again it will randomly disconnect. It has happened so much that i would deduct a star from it but hopefully it doesn't get worse. This might be a normal thing for wired headphones so maybe Im nit picking at this point.

Amazing Headset for Any Gamer

The Atlas 200 is a sharp looking headset that has come in handy lately. They won't out perform my wireless headset but they are a great alternative for when my primary headset runs out of battery.
The design is great and seems to me an homage to the first PlayStation colorway. The light grey and the royal blue are stylish but comfortable as well. The head band has a net type of material that helps make it comfortable for long time wear. The cushions are made to feel like super soft pillows on your ears.
The audio quality is great, and the 3D features are on point and really effective. In my first person shooter game I can hear where the steps are coming from. The chat and audio feature is great as well, there's no difference for me between my wireless and wired headset. You can also easily flip the mic up to mute yourself. I did try my headset on a portable gaming console and the audio wasn't as good. So stick to the PlayStation for sure.
I would suggest this for a new person to gaming or a headset that you want that you do not need to charge. It is comparable to other top notch headsets and will for sure be popular this Christmas!

Not For Large Ears

First Impressions
When I first unboxed the Turtle Beach Atlas 200, I liked how lightweight it felt. It has a mostly plastic build with a soft headband and memory-foam style ear cushions. The headset doesn’t feel cheap, but it’s clearly designed to be more functional than flashy. The detachable mic and the simple 3.5 mm connection make it easy to use across PlayStation, PC, or even mobile devices that support wired audio.
Sound Quality
For stereo sound, the Atlas 200 actually sounds pretty good. Dialogue and in-game effects come through clearly, and directional audio cues are easy to pick out, especially in FPS games. It’s not overly bass-heavy, so explosions and low-end sounds don’t hit with as much depth as higher-end headsets, but the mids and highs are balanced well for the price.
Music playback is fine too — nothing spectacular, but clean and clear enough for casual listening. Overall, I’d say it delivers decent stereo performance for gaming and general use.
Comfort & Fit
Here’s where things get a little mixed. The ear cups don’t fully surround your ears — instead, they rest on parts of them. At first, this doesn’t feel too bad, but after about 30 minutes, I noticed some soreness around the edges of my ears. The foam padding is soft, but the pressure adds up over time.
If you wear glasses, the headset does an okay job at reducing frame pressure, but it doesn’t completely eliminate discomfort during longer gaming sessions. Personally, I wouldn’t call these “all-day” comfortable. Short matches or quick sessions? Totally fine. Extended gaming? You’ll probably need breaks.
Microphone & Controls
The flip-to-mute mic is convenient and clear enough for in-game chat or Discord. It’s not studio quality, but it does the job for voice comms without much background noise pickup. The volume dial on the left ear cup is easy to reach, and there aren’t a ton of buttons to fumble with mid-game — simple and straightforward.
Everyday Use
The headset’s lightweight build makes it easy to wear and toss around, and the wired connection means no charging or latency issues. Sound isolation is average — you’ll still hear some ambient noise, but it’s enough to stay immersed in your game or movie.
The main drawback is comfort over time. I found myself adjusting the ear cups often to relieve the pressure, which became distracting during longer gaming sessions.
Pros
• Good stereo sound for the price
• Lightweight and easy to use
• Clear mic for in-game chat
• Plug-and-play compatibility with PlayStation and other 3.5 mm devices
Cons
• Ear cups rest on your ears instead of around them
• Ear soreness after about 30 minutes of wear
• Limited bass response
• Not ideal for long gaming sessions
Conclusion
The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 delivers decent sound for a wired stereo headset, especially for its price range. It’s clear, balanced, and perfectly fine for everyday gaming or chatting. However, comfort is the weak spot — since the ear cups press against your ears, I started feeling sore after roughly half an hour.
If you’re a casual gamer who plays in shorter bursts, this headset will serve you well. But if you tend to game for hours at a time, you might want to look for something with deeper, fully over-ear cushions for better long-term comfort.

Overall - The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 Wired Over-Ear Gaming Headset worked well – not a lot of bells and whistles with this basic headset. Bottom line up front – it has really good sound quality, was comfortable to wear (did take a bit of adjustment), and the mic worked well – no complaints from folks on the other end.
Setup - As far as set up for use, not much to say – plug it in and it works, as far as fit, that took a bit of adjustment – nothing major, but just several iterations to get it right.
Audio Performance - Audio quality was really good – not hi-fidelity level, but I was pleasantly surprised with the clean and immersive sound for the headset – from footsteps to explosions, it works really well.
Microphone performance - This seems to work really well – other I have tried folks say it muted or sounds like I’ in a can, however not with this one – they commented that it was clear and not a lot of background noise – in this price range that’s a real plus. Just of note – one nice feature is that the mic is flexible, and you can rotate it out of the way when not in use.
Comfort - Comfort is top notch – after getting the strap and everything adjusted, it’s one of the more comfortable headsets I’ve tried – of course, being wired, it’s fairly light and head headband and ear cushion were very comfortable. No issues, wear it for several hours straight
Compatibility - While it says it’s for PS5 – which I tested it on – it also worked with anything else with the 3.5 mm jack – I used it directly connected to my PC and an audio device with no issues.
Bottomline - The Turtle Beach Atlas 2000 works really well – good sound quality, great functioning mic, and really comfortable. The only drawback is that it’s wired – I never had any limitations with the wire, but it is there and could be in the way. Regardless, this is a top-notch headset in this price range

These headphones are color matched to the PS5, but I can't help but think R2D2 when I see them. the quality of the construction is quite nice and these are simple but sturdy and decently made. Wired with a 3.5mm jack for use with a controller, and no battery to charge OR go dead. the boom mic is sufficiently sensitive with a quality boom and swivel / flip mechanism that gets it out of the way when not in use, but also mutes the microphone, which I like. This headset is considered glasses friendly and the memory foam ear cups are accommodating of the arms of your spectacles. The attached cord is 4ft long which is appropriate for connection to a PS5 controller. A simple scroll wheel for volume control is also located on the left ear cup next to the cable connection for easy location. Overall these are comfortable and built well for wearing for longer sessions. Sound quality is decent with the 50mm drivers and the microphone is a good quality for voice use in gaming sessions. I would recommend these as a quality no frills addition for anyone's PS5.

It's actually nice to have a set of headphones that are not Bluetooth. That way you don't have to worry about the battery going out all the time. You don't have to worry about range, or charging. You simply just plug these into your PS5 controller and you're good to go for as long as the battery lasts in your controller or if you're using a wired controller, you can play forever, I guess. The sound quality is absolutely fine that's what I will say. I'm sure you don't expect stellar sound when you buy these, but what you do end up getting is very serviceable and usable sound. Everyone seems to be okay with me talking on the mic, they can hear me just fine. The build quality on these is again acceptable. They're gonna last you well into the ownership lifetime of your Playstation 5. I like the gray and blue colorway and Turtle Beach seems to be moving up in the world when it comes to peripherals for your computer and game systems. I really like the direction this company is heading and i'm looking forward to seeing where they go next.
