Good headset for less serious gamers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this headset less than 24 hours ago (to replace my broken TB Stealth 500X that I've used consistently for years), and I'm already dissatisfied with my purchase.The headset fits a little too tight, and is not comfortable after a while of continued use. The individual chat and game volume controls are a must with any headset I choose, but in-game chat volumes can only be adjusted using the game volume - chat volume control does not work while chatting "in-game." Perhaps I misread, so I'll clarify for anyone reading this review: the 420X does not have the mic monitoring feature which allows you to hear yourself talk (so you don't yell into the mic). The setup was excitingly easy, though. The sound quality is superb. I also like the versatility of being able to use this headset on more than solely during console gaming. I'd recommend this headset to less serious gamers who are looking for quality sound and don't intend to wear the headset for long gameplay seasions.

faulty products/poor customer service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this headset was supposed to come paired to the wireless transmitter right out of the box. It was not. Following all of the troubleshooting and pairing instructions from Turtle Beach, the headset still would not pair, the lights just kept blinking endlessly. Turtle Beach customer service is horrible, you have to wait days for any response, and wait again if you have to reply to one of their emails. I just decided to return the headphones to bestbuy and get another pair. Those worked great for a few months. They were comfortable and the sound quality was awesome. But then the sound starting cutting out, and then the headset lost pairing to the transmitter. Again following all of Turtle Beach's troubleshooting and pairing instructions provided by their customer support, this 2nd headset would not pair. Now they want me to pay to ship their warranty covered product back to them so they can send me another pair with NO SOLUTION as to what to do when this headset has a pairing issue. The warranty is not being extended so I only have a few months before this pair is worthless.

Broke in TWO DAYS

This isn't my first pair either. I received my first pair a few days before Christmas and they broke on Christmas... merry christmas right? Anyways I ordered a new pair and they took over 2 weeks to arrive, only for them to break after two days, very displeased with the quality.
