A: It's completely wireless. The box comes with two wires, though, that have some function. First is the charging cable. It can plug into the USB port on the Xbox One or any USB port. So you'll need to plug the headset in to charge. Second is a Media-to-headset cable. This is used to plug your phone (or anything with a small headset jack) into the headphones. It allows you to listen to music, movies, etc. from your phone while you are also receiving Xbox and party chat wirelessly. I use it occasionally when I'm playing a game and not chatting with friends... will plug my phone into it so that I can listen to podcasts or my music. Hope that helps.

Q: Can this be used for xbox 1 and ps4
A: My understanding is that this headset is specifically designed to work with Xbox one. I have heard that you can use the headset on PS4 for audio, but it will not work for voice chat.
Q: Is the headset noise canceling?
A: No. Only what the earcups provide
A: Yes! He can mute the tv, but have the game volume still played through his headset. He can adjust the volume on the headset as well.
Q: Has there been any audio blowouts or problems.
A: Haven't had any complaints from my son.
