Amazing headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The features of this headset make the price of this headset extremely worth it. With optical surround sound and wireless capability it brings a quality that I have not seen in any other headset. Surround sound really puts you in the environment that you're in and you really sense what is around you in the game. I'd say if you're going to spend the money on a great headset then this is probably the best one you can get right now.

Not my favorite.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset was honestly a let down. The earmuffs are kinda scratchy and sound quality isn't that great. The build quality feels cheap and lacking. I felt like I was going to break them constantly. The setup for Xbox One was eh and I honestly instantly regretted my purchase. After only two days and about 10-14 hours of use I gave up and returned them for the Logitech G933 and for only $50 more it was far superior.

Not yet there...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game sound isn't great, even after firmware update, and sound doesn't go very loud. Movies/Music on the other hand sound great and have great amount of volume! I'm so excited to see where they go, but currently they need some work.

Turtle Beach Stealth 500X
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a long term Turtle Beach advocate having progressed up the ranks through three wired headsets to my XP400's which were bought over two years ago for complete wireless capability and Bluetooth connectivity to virtually everything. I can't even begin to explain how irritating it is that TB and MS did not communicate in producing bluetooth adapters for chat purposes on existing headsets owned by the general populace moving into the xbox one console. Now I find myself having to tether my XP400's to my control and falling victim to static and causing echoes for others due to line connection point issues and overall poor quality. Referencing the xbox chuck, extension male to female line adapter and the TB headset cable to plug into this line adapter. Seems my once $250 investment just stepped back in time four+ years. So while irritated at this and the fact that I was going to have to buy another headset to once again obtain what I had once already had (complete wireless capability) I caved and gave the man yet more of my money to purchase the Stealth 500x headset. I was excited about not being cabled once more. This feature works great (Chat without need for additional pucks or cables) which is why these get one star and not zero! The in game sound quality comparison between the XP400's and the 500x's is best described as standing in the middle of a Bose surround sound system (XP400) and standing in front of a single Audiovox 8" subwoofer (500x's). Of all four of my TB headsets, these are by far the worst sounding of them all. My 500x's out of box are immediately noticed as cheap in comparison. The power button rattles in the ear piece so if you move your head the button knocks and everybody in your party can hear it. Those fine detailed sounds of footsteps and directional awareness simply no longer exist in the 500X's. I bought mine last night at about 8pm and boxed them back up for return after a little over and hour of fidgeting with them trying to get good sound before defaulting back to my XP400's and feeling instant satisfaction in doing so. The 500X’s aren't worth $50, let alone $230. I do not and will not recommend these to anybody. After near twelve years of TB loyalty, I will be shopping Astro and other headset manufacturers before even considering coming back. Way to step backwards Turtle Beach! Would it be so hard to partner with MS and sell us a puck for our controllers to give us back bluetooth chat connect-ability?!

Horrible consistancy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have owned for over a month and the inconsistency is horrible.. Middle of a game and they phase in and out, break up and than come back. I sit about 7 feet from where the USB plug goes in and and it obviously too far away, if I sit within 2 feet it is fine. I have had to turn off all other wireless devices, such as my iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, etc.. Just to get a slightly better reception, but still when the sounds matter, don't count on this one!
