Malfunctioning after 4 months of use

I am experiencing a lot of static during game dialog (characters speaking) I don't hear it with the music and effects part of the game only when someone from the game speaks to my character. Also the volume level of the dialog changes even during a single dialog segment. I believe it is a problem in the inline connector, I can fiddle with it which fixes it but it is short lived. I believe it's also at the connection point into the head phones, which is hard wired. I love them and hopefully I just received a lemon. If so I will report back 4-6 months after I receive my replacement set. Hopefully I don't experience the same issue and can award a 5 star review. Pros: The number of adjustable audio outputs. Cons: I wished they were not hardwired into the head phones because I would like to use them with my phone but don't because I can't switch out the cable with inline controls (answer, mic and voice volume, etc.).
