No longer have a xbox one but this headset is awesome. Played black ops 3, destiny, forza and halo reach while using this headset and it did the job. If you are on a budget then look else where but this price is worth it. No where greater than astros but it's up there at least the mic is better. Reliable brand.

I preordered these, and like a lot of people completely anticipated there release. First of all this is my forth set of turtle beach cans (X1, X11, X12 DDS2.) I must say presentation wise I was blown away by the box alone.(laugh out loud!) Not enough was said about the power supply, so I didn't know if I needed to invest in rechargeable batteries or what. To my surprise the setup was very simple and the headphones magically work, I assume through the power supply of whatever there attached to. The chat quality is premium although I wasn't sure if I was being heard since you CAN NOT hear yourself speak (like lets say you could through the X12's) Another turn off was the fact that @ max volume it just wasn't as loud as I would of liked it to be. It's almost like Turtle Beach XO seven's are policing your ears in an attempt to save your eardrums from any damage. *smh* The bass is subpar @ best, depending on what the content is. For example listening to music on my iPhone was great, but I kinda feel like only because of whatever genre of music I played @ the time(I believe it was rap/hip-hop) Make no mistake though, I defenatly felt an advantage playing COD, and Battlefield 4. These cans are perfectly tuned for that type of experience. Look, if you have a pair of headphones that you love from last gen and don't wanna fall victim to the hype of current gen tech, then by all means just get the chat adapter. But if you a fan of the Turtle Beach brand and would like everything new and nice like you Xbox One, then get these.

First off I have no idea why my nickname is liar. I don't know how to change it nor how it got like that; I'm assuming my brother did it but I digress.
I must say these headphones sound good and have great microphone capabilities...when they are working. I only owned them for a month before I returned them. Let me tell you why...
I was playing Destiny and all of a sudden the sound dropped from my headphones and I could not hear the gameplay nor the party chat. I chalked it up to accidental dropping due to the wireless nature of the Xbone controller, so I plugged my controller up to the console. Hard wired seemed to take care of it, for a little while. I started experiencing more drops while still plugged in. Jiggling the audio connector from the headphones to the controller base revealed the problem. It was a poor connection. Poor design on Turtle Beach's part. I eventually became fed up with adjusting the wire every few minutes so I took it back and spent a little more on the Astros. Best decision I have ever made. The controls on the Astros are MUCH easier to work with as well as an overall cooler design. The sound is great and it does not drop audio. I would recommend buying those over these TB's.
Also, food for thought. Best Buy will price match Amazons price for the Astros. In the end I paid 15 more dollars for them. Steer clear from these TB's.

The headset is ready to use right out of the box. I was able to just plug in the microphone to the headset and plug the control panel to the xbox controller and I was set. The quality is great and the headset is extremely comfortable on my head. My 9 year old daughter likes to use it to listen to music on her cell phone. It easily adjust to different head sizes. It also easily converts to use for xbox or any audio device. I would definitely recommend this headset to gamers who enjoy quality sound and quality voice when chatting with friends.

I've used the XO Seven for over a week, they look and feel amazing, comes with 2 cords one to use with your mobile device has a mic built in to the cable with a push button to answer calls, works great on my iPhone 5s. Where this headset falls short and I think it's on the xbox side is that there is not enough power from the controller to drive the the sound and I feel it sounds pretty flat, I'm not getting any bass or it's minimal. Volume levels are not quite as high as I would like it to be. I hook the headset up to my audio mixer board, play some music and they come to life but the bass is still lacking. Overall build quality is great, mic boom is very good and flexible put it where you want it and it stays put. Looks cool, comes with an xbox audio adaptor that connects to your controller that alone if purchased separate costs $29 if you can find it in stock anywhere, you can connect your fav headset instead of using the xo seven. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, build quality is great, and will definitely take a beating, does a great job of isolating ambient noise. The fault of this unit I blame the Xbox One which through a firmware/software patch hopefully my issues will get addressed in the future.

Awesome headset for Xbox One

This is the second headset I have tried with the Xbox One. I previously purchased a steelseries portable headset which was not very comfortable. These are extra comfortable with great sound. Very convenient that it plugs into the controller instead of the console like the older headsets for the 360 did.

I had a pair of Triton AXs before these and my biggest complaint is that you can't hear yourself talking during chat. That sometimes makes you talk too loud.
Otherwise, these sound incredible. Tested so far on Battlefield 4 and it definitely immerses you in the game and you have the feeling of full surround sound. These fit perfect and are lightweight; much lighter than the Tritons and fit much more comfortably.
They are not *truly* wireless as some people may expect. There is on wire that feeds from the headset to the controller like the normal mics. I thought this would diminish the sound but it doesn't and there are less wires to wrap up and put away (which always messes up the wires).

Good headset for Night time Gamers

This headset has nearly all the features to make it a 5/5 headset. Sound is really good. Mic is good. However, there is no mic monitoring. And let me say, these are nearly sound canceling, so trying to hear yourself talk is nearly impossible. I end up talking too loud and shouting when I don't need too. Also, this should be a surround sound headset as they advertised; however, it is not. It is a stereo headset. Turtle Beach said it was supposed to be surround sound but Microsoft cancelled that last minute with the adapter capabilities.
Long story short, pick this up if you like late night gaming but don't expect all the features you'd see in a more expensive model.

My wife and I just had a baby so I was in the market for a decent headset for use at night while he sleeps. I was pleasantly surprised by how great this headset is. Physically, the headset feels really high quality, the ear and headband padding feel really good and everything just feels heavy duty. The headset is very comfortable - I have a pretty large head and experience no discomfort even after long use.
Audio quality is fantastic. The XO Seven uses a virtual surround system and it works surprisingly well - sounds that originate behind me in games like Thief or Titanfall actually sound like its coming from behind. It's no substitute for real surround sound but for a headset, its pretty great. The XO7 includes the new Xbox controller headset adapter, a cable to connect it to the controller, a separate cable for use with mobile devices, and a USB cable to connect the controller to the Xbox One for firmware updating (which is required to use the XO7).
I do experience some audio crackle or quick drop-outs once in a while BUT this is an issue with the chat adapter - Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix, most likely a firmware update for the adapter. It only happens during games and only a couple times every hour or 2. Audio while watching TV, movies from Xbox Video and audio all work great with no issues. Skype also works fantastically. The boom mic is removable and the adapter gives you complete control of the overall volume as well as adjusting the volume between the game and party chat.
All in all, a fantastic headset, powerful sound, great build quality and chat voice quality too. Highly recommend if you're looking for a new headset for use with your Xbox One.

If you are debating on getting a headset for the Xbox One and can't decide between the XO Four or the XO Seven, get the XO Seven. I have tried both of them and besides the sound being the same, which is amazing quality, the XO Seven is just made better. It is more comfortable to wear while the XO 4 is a little tight, especially wearing it for long periods of time, The mic of the XO 7 is adjustable while the XO 4 one just sits there and isn't adjustable. Set up is easy, plug it into the xbox one with the included USB cord and also the controller with included adapter. Let it update and its ready to go. Best headset on the market right now.

My friends surprised me and chipped in for an Xbox One for my birthday since I haven't even had a gold membership to play with them in years. I remembered that with my Xbox 360 it came with a cheap headset but mine didn't with the One since (I think?) it was a Gears of War edition. I started doing some research for a new pair since my wireless Turtle Beach x32's weren't compatible with my sparkly new system.
I had an old gift card leftover from Christmas and found out that it still had a good amount left on it. As such, it led me to going for a pricier headset instead of something middle of the road while also not surrendering quality.
Long story short (and based on my rating), buy these. I play for hours at a time and they're still pretty comfortable throughout. The sound is clear, the preset effects improve your gaming experience, and you can even remove the ear plates if you wanted to buy funky new ones. If they were priced a liiiittle bit less and I didn't have my gift card, I still would've bought them. Happy gaming!

When using with the ps4 you can control the volume by going into the ps4 sound settings, but I wish there was sound controls on the headset itself. Other than that it works great on my Xbox one. Nice not having to hook anything up to my tv or worry about charging these. I like that they run off the controller battery and just use that one cord. Very comfortable also.
