the elite 800 has a music mode with 4 presets, a movie mode with 4 presets and a game mode with 6 presets. the games sound alive and lush while movies and music sound real and vivid. plus there is a downloadable instruction book and preset tuner guide from turtle beach that go into more detail on how to use the headset. i still learning now how to use the preset tool to make my own preset. plus they work with bluetooth device like iphone and sound amazing. one negative complait is that buttons are sensitive and ive accidentally hit one and changed preset on accident. overall ease to set up, charging station also acts as transmitter and great sound quality. if you can afford i recommend these

This has to be the best PS4 gaming headset on the market. The sound truly has to be heard to be believed. The build quality is solid and Turtle Beach will send you your choice of a pullover or shirt and two sets of extra speaker plates along with a two year warranty when you register your Elite 800 online.

Great product, but too bulky for me. Sound is true surround and clear. You can even hear the faintest voice, it's so clear. If it wasn't too bulky, I would rate it a 5

Work's flawlessly in an apartment building with TONS of Wi-Fi. Gave 4 out of 5 because it way to easy to change settings by moving your head against the couch/chair cushion. Other then that I LOVE this headset. Use the phone app to control everything! Sounds great! P.S.: I got the Extended Warranty, had SEVERE problems with a pair of PS Elite headset. Had to have Sony send out a replacement that broke a couple months latter and a couple DAY'S out of warranty. Needless to say Sony can continue to have there great next gen console collect dust because of that and there lack of commitment to the game community. And this is coming form someone who only bought Sony products!

I switched from a50s to try these out after having a few issues with them, these are a little more tight and can fatigue your ears more easily and it is very easy to hit the million buttons on both sides while playing. All in all the sound is fantastic and being 100% wireless is great. I think the Astro A50s and A40s are better but if you want completely wireless this is your best bet

Good sound, great fit. Only real complaints are the echo sound i get sometimes with some games and accidentally bumping the buttons on the side if i'm chillin on the couch. Overall they are much nicer sounding than the soundbar attached to my tv. Battery life is good and the noise cancel works pretty good.

I get it, it would seem to be nice to have easily pushable and accessible buttons but if you ever wanna just lay back or against a pillow your screwed because the button locations and sensitivity is so great you'll just end up pushing pushing them all with every slight movement you make trying to get comfy, not to mention the headset after a bit gets so heavy that you feel the need to relax your head against something. Which of course in turn ends up screwing up your settings because the sensitive buttons are going off. It drives me insane.

These are great headphones, although I think they are a little overpriced.

Offers great sound and control of game sound versus chat. Has multiple settings to cater to sound preference, like more bass or more treble as well as movie mode, game mode. Each of these settings also allow for more customization (I.e. action, horror, suspense)

I have had no problems at all, they sound great. They feel good on head on ears. There not cheaply made, very good set of head phones. I also like blue toothing to my phone.

These headphones are really great especially after my husband went through 3 other pairs. These have excellent sound so much so that other people have said that our my ceiling fan sounds like a helicopter. I have used them also while playing cod & love them. Excellent headphones.

So I've compared this with my Astro A-50 headphones that I've had for over a year now. So far, so good! It's pretty self explanatory on the technical parts as it did come out to whatever I expected. Although I do have a PS4, I have this on an XBOX One and my PC going through USB and digital outputs. For PC via USB, its so-so. The astro A50 headphones put out a better sound quality for sure, and hopefully, Turtle Beach will give an update that takes advantage of the sound processing via USB. Optical via PC does send out a better signal and quality. Now for my Xbox one, it's a little tricky because you have to use the headset adapter. Even though this is wireless, Xbox lacks the functionality of having a wireless headset with the Elite 800, since a cable has to come between the headset adapter and the headphones to use with a mic. Some Cons - the firmware/software is a bit buggy. I've ran into a problem with the headphones not responding, but did a reset (hold the mic button for more than 5 seconds) and it started working again. Also, I'm not sure what it is, but I would run into some optical sound issues with clicking and noise at certain times when using the optical cable. It's quite annoying and had to unplug/replug the optical cable. I honestly thing it's just a software issue. All in all, it's a great pair of headphones compared to what's out there (Steelseries, Astro, etc.) in terms of quality, technology, and design.

My wife and I wanted to get our son the best gaming headset for the money and we were blown away by the new Elite 800! Easy set up and connectivity to his Xbox One system. Noise canceling feature is incredible! My wife wants a set and she's never played a video game in her life!

I am an extreme gamer and I own 5 headsets now for pretty much all current generation consoles even the xo seven by turtlebeach and this is by far the best one. Kind of pricey but we'll worth the money. I highly recommend. The only flaw is an ok mic. The other features are flawless!

I've been a turtlebeach fan for years and have been toying with the idea of a high end gaming headset for when I play on Xbox. I decided to splurge on the 800x. The headset came paired right out of the box to the base and was very easy to pair to the Xbox One S. Listening to music or videos on other devices is as simple as pairing it via any Bluetooth device or with the cables provided. There's also active noise cancellation and adjustable microphone sensitivity that works great. There are a ton of presets for different styles of sound depending on what you're doing, whether it be listening to music, watching a movie, or playing games. This is where the headset falls just a bit flat for me. There is a tiny echo/tinny type sound no matter what preset I use (other users state the same thing) and it does distract from the overall sound quality. I haven't found the perfect "sweet spot" yet for a great surround sound feel from these headphones, but overall, it's good. For being a high end gaming headset that allows for multiple uses like being connected to phones, tablets, and computers, this headset delivers a good amount of value, but for the retail of nearly $300, it does have some short comings that have yet to be addressed. That being said, it's still a great headset and I would recommend it.

My son has been very pleased with these headphones. He uses them on an xbox one and they have excellent sound with no lag or delay while playing live.

These are the best headphones I have. Not only is the quality awesome, but when you go to website its shows setup for Xbox one, so in way it's universal. An all in one headset finally. Only down part you need cord from headset to Xboxone controller. Other than that it works awesome.

Very Loud, clear headphones that hook up to Bluetooth devices with ease. You can also plug the headphones into the pa4 and it works as well. Battery life is long

Sound quality is great, mic quality is not so great. Alot of features for the price, very comfortable & does not get hot on my head. There are some glitches but I expect that with wireless headsets but none that are deal breakers. The 50 range is nice. One feature I think they should have put on it is to announce when the mute button is on off.

Great as a wireless mic. Only problem is if left charged for to long, might have to be disconnected and reconnected to console.
