Customers are saying

Customers commend the Elite 800 Wireless DTS 7.1-Channel Surround Sound Gaming Headset's exceptional sound quality, wireless functionality, and comfortable design. Many also appreciate its good battery life. However, some users find the buttons overly sensitive, the price high, and the fit snug for larger heads. A few also noted the headset's weight as a potential issue during extended use.

    Great headphones if they worked

If there weren’t issues with cracking sounds in the right side, and sound just stopping for no reason these would be the best headphones available. I’ve had two pairs and just returned the second set due to reasons noted above. These are also made for people with a really small head. I returned these for the Astro A50 Wireless headphones, which are better for gaming but don’t offer the other features the Turtle Beach headphones do.

It’s a great headset for playing game. I wish the instruction was clearer. Had a hard time connecting the headset to the game set.

Used these for years and only downfall is that people listening to you say you sound like you are in a can or really far away. It has a boomless mic so id understand. Since I wasn't hearing myself I thought they were awesome.

These headphones have some perks but I feel for the price, they should blow you away. The sound is on track for $100 pair. I have tried at least 6 headphones and this ranks 4th. Hot, uncomfortable for sessions longer than 30 minutes. The features are why it recieved 3 stars because they were pretty cool(selectable presets for different listening modes, different talk modes). Artemis 7 was by far superior for $140, not $300

But the headphones do not have app support like stated on the box. Depending on your level of audiophile-ness, that may not be ideal.

With the leather cushioning, you can tend to get hot and leave marks on your head. I mean it is typical but it does get really hot and sweaty. The sound quality is great when it works, however it gets pigmented distorted regardless of how many updates you do and usually the problem can be fixed by simply getting up and unplugging the power from the wireless charging docking stand. Turtle Beach has addressed that it is an issue and that there is no fix all cure for this problem except for simply swapping it out were shipping it back to them and waiting for a refurbished headsets come back to you. I bought the Astros and I'm in love their super lightweight you can customize the quality on the laptop for three different settings you could Silence with the microphone it's the same price but the sound quality is a billion times better and they're the same price.

Best big box store console headset. 3rd pair after kids broke them 2xs. Tried every other previous versions but this one has wireless chat feature that puts it on top. Boomless microphone only negative but that's for others to deal with

Not the best headset out there. Needs a lot of refinement to fit individual needs. Once you do though it is nice. Has a problem where it maxes chat volume and blows your eardrums( quickly got accustomed to it) randomly , the tools they say you can use for making your own presets don't work, and the update they have online messed with the headset connecting to the base so I had to reset the entire system.

This was a good headset. It stopped working within 2 months of purchase. I liked the sound quality, but I feel the Astro A50's have better audio clarity and performance. I did not really like that these headphones do not have a boom mic. I've been told I was hard to hear because of mic being built into the earpiece.

I was A little skeptical at first because of the price tag but after purchasing and set up it really was worth every penny. I also connect my phone via Bluetooth and I can listen to music and answer phone calls all while gaming.

I bought this for my husband since our son broke his last one. He is in love with it! He does not "lag" on sound, everything is very clear, very good and comfy earphones.

Its a great all around headset. Its very confortable, noise isolating, lightweight, and can play music from your phone while still playing the sound from a video game flawlessly with independent volume control for each.

I bought this headset for my 16-year-old son. He has been an Xbox gamer for several years now and has gone through a lot of headphones. He and his friends said, “this is the best headset ever”.

This headset has tons of features, but the most important thing to me is sound quality and simulated 7.1 surround for gaming. These have an audible hiss at all times and the surround was no better, but probably on par with my steel series wireless H. Sound isn't as good as my a50's and are a lot less comfortable. Tried all the presets as well.
