Too small and uncomfortable and I have an average sized head. The microphone is terrible and all friends had trouble hearing me clearly. Build quality is awesome and looks really cool. Too bad the functionality isn't there.

I was extremely torn between the Elite 800 and the Astro A50 when looking for a premium headset for gaming. But after countless hours reading reviews and balancing pro's and con's I decided I couldn't go wrong with the Elite 800. AND LET ME SAY WHAT AN AWESOME CHOICE I MADE! Everything about the Elite 800's scream quality. From the sturdy build to the premium materials used there shouldn't be any issue with them lasting for a very long time. First thing I did was to make sure I red the directions as these have more settings and buttons than a new Mercedes. Being a Mac user I downloaded the Turtle Beach app to my laptop and made sure I was running the latest FIRMWARE and that's when I realized how many different presets you could load on top of the ones that came PRE-loaded. Preset sound adjustments for multiple games like COD AW, Ghosts etc...Battlefield 4, Far Cry 4 and GTA V just to name a few and all tailored for that specific game. This headset utilizes the new DTS Headphone: X technology. You not only get the typical (FRONT-REAR-SIDES# sound field but with DTS you get the added benefit of #SURROUND HEIGHT)!!! now your able to pinpoint shooters etc....perched above you during multiplayer gaming especially when utilizing the SUPER HUMAN HEARING setting in game mode. The Bass is pounding with mids and highs being crystal clear. I have a $1500 JBL home theater that sounds like WWIII has touched down in my living room but I will be finding myself hard pressed to not being using the headset instead. They actually had me dogging and jumping at the sounds I was missing. The Elite 800's are extremely comfortable and have what I think is the perfect tension on your head. They don't slide around on your head at all. The touch buttons are EXTREMELY SENSITIVE. I haven't had much an issue with that but can easily see where other might complain. The wireless is absolutely FLAWLESS with no interference at all. One of my favorite things is the magnetic charging base/interface. The headset just sits right on the base and starts charging. A full charge will give you around 15hrs of play which I haven't tested. HIDDEN MICROPHONES WITH ACTIVE NOISE CANCELATION THAT ARE AWESOME!!! NEED I SAY MORE!!! NO MORE ANNOYING MIC BOOM!!! Separately adjust game a chat volumes!!! Bluetooth connectivity for answering your phone during gameplay etc.... ALL IN ALL THIS IS THE BEST HEADSET IVE USED.......EVER!!!! IVE USED THE A50, STEELSERIES 5 AND THE TRITTON PRO+.....AND THE ELITE 800 BY TURTLE BEACH BLOWS THEM AWAY!!! DONT HESITATE BUYING THESE.

I bought these because I liked the docking station and thought it look good. Although it sounds good it has a major flaw the mic is not good even after the current update the mic is terrible it's better than what it was but it still sounds like your talking in a can.

Just purchased this headset this evening. Unboxing is always fun. I would advise to Update firmware before the setup…The transmitter/ charging station fits nicely on the Xbox One right next to the vent. As for sound, phenomenal, Impressive sound quality, immersive gaming experience, puts you in the zone!…It has game specific presets to choose from when using the Ear Force Hub. You must have a Mac, Windows PC or an Andriod Phone. I am an Apple user myself that Is why my BIGGEST complaint is that Mobile Companion App is Andriod only. As I am not able to download the companion app. (Seriously iOS not supported?) You have to connect both the headset and transmitter to a PC to upload presets. I kept hearing about people complaining of not having a proper boom mic. My Xbox Live chat friends on Destiny are able to hear me well after I adjusted the setting to get it just right. If you readjust your headset, You move the cups therefore moving the mic and it changes your voice. Some may say distance, or you are using the kinect for chat. LOL or muffled when I layed back into the recliner. 100% wireless for XBox One no tethering to controller. No, headset adapter needed. Bluetooth, listen to my own musc while gaming and I am able to answer calls without interruption. As for Elite membership with this purchase. You also get your choice of a free long sleeve hoodie or free t-shirt also you get two free sets of cover plates. Accompanied by a 2year limited warranty. That is nice for the future. As they are about to release replacement cushions for the headset as well. (faux leather) very comfortable as it doesn't hurt my ears after four hours of game play. Worth getting!

I ended up returning these for the beats studio wireless. i did not like the bulky base charger or the low sound. i could not get them loud enough for my liking

I have purchased other headsets in the past. By far this is the BEST. I have many different options for audio settings. I would absolutely Recommend.

My son purchased these shortly after Christmas on Dec. 29th. We took them back to Best Buy on around Jan. 13th. I wasn't w/ him when he purchased them, but according to his friend. The staff person at the Best Buy explained to my son that this particular headset was known for loosing audio to games. Sure enough, we were taking them back because he lost sound and couldn't hear COD World War II. What's weird is that he could hear his friends and still do chat, but not hear the game. Anyhow we took them back and purchased the Astro wireless headset which was $50 dollars more. We're still testing those but they sound great so far and the chat is really clear on those.

Best gaming headset I have owned by far! Definitely worth the price when being compared to other similar priced headsets.

Phones work great, sometimes you gotta play with the aline ment to charge them but once u get the feel it's easy enuff
