For $269.99 I felt the headphone gave me the experience of other 150-200 headphones. The one key factor as to why I kept these headphones: wireless charging. I used to be on a wired headset (2013 Astro A-40) and I decided to give these a shot. They're great, they sound better, look better, have more presets but they also have their flaws. You can easily click the buttons that change things-I almost rather have a mix-amp at this point for as many times as I've clicked those things with the back of my chair while playing. Overall, I'm happy with these headphones because they're comfortable in long gaming session, they feel like "premium" headsets, they sound like a premium headset, my 1 complaint is just how easily you can switch things on accident. If you get them you won't be disappointed....and for everyone yelling go get an Astro A-50. Those aren't wireless charging, don't have as many presets, and have a stand like its 2010 still using a micro usb to charge it. Lets get with the idea that we are in the 21st century not 20th. When the headphones are on, the experience locked in, you'll know they're great headphones then.

After a few hours it feels like your head is geting squeezed and causes headaches. The bluetooth is delayed through the headset. I will be returning the headset and geting my 300 dollars back. I really wanted these to be perfect but we'll see what next year brings for headsets.

This is a absolutely amazing headset from turtle beach. They have fixed the mic issues with an update and has zero issues.

So I had Astro A50's and these blow them away in all aspects, I don't loose connectivity anymore like the A-50's did

I unfortunately had to upgrade to the Elite 800X when my XP400's broke. My original plan was to buy the same model that I had, but to my dismay, Turtle Beach discontinued that particular model. The XP400's had everything that I wanted and needed, so finding a replacement was tough. I did my research and the only headset that came close to footing the bill was the XP800's. I wasn't too happy with the hefty price, $299.99 is pretty steep. I can honestly say that its worth it. The sound is unbelievable. I didn't think there would be that big of a difference between the XP400's and the Elite 800X's, but there is. Pros: + Sound quality is simply amazing. My games and movies sound just as good as the do on my expensive 7.1 surround system. + Bluetooth functionality has really improved. + Hidden microphone eliminates the need for a boom mic. (I was really worried about this, but works perfectly.) + Definitely more sturdy that some of the other Turtle Beach models. + The noise cancellation is a very nice feature. + The transmitter/charging station has great range. I've been all through my house and not lost signal. Cons: - 299.99 price tag is kinda rough... but in my opinion, it's worth it. - You can accidentally press the buttons on the side of the headset pretty easily. Kinda makes watching a movie in bed or a high back chair slightly difficult, but not impossible. - If you've got a big noggin like I do, the headset can be a little snug right out the box. Once its broken in though, its actually quite comfortable. - The transmitter/charging stand has a green pulsating light the continually flashes when the head set is not in use. Its not terribly bright, but if you don't like blinky lights, it'll annoy you a little. If I had to give it a numerical score, I'd honestly give it a 9.5 out of 10. Oh, and just to be on the safe side, buy the extended warranty. I've had one for every Turtle Beach headset I've owned and it has paid for itself every single time.

If your looking for good quality headphones at a good price head to best buy

First things first, I've been a gamer for 25 years, I've owned many different gaming headsets from plenty of different companies over the years but for my money Turtle Beach seems to be what works best for me (keep in mind i said what works best for me not what is the absolute best, there is a difference). This is my 5th pair of turtle beach headphones that dates back to the 360 days and my 3rd wireless pair. The only word I can use to describe these is Incredible!!! Pros: Audio Presets clarity bass microphone clarity (more on this in a min) bluetooth smart features Cons: Reviewers that can't read the instructions to figure out why the mic doesn't sound optimal for them!!! The absolute best part for me about the headset is the clarity i hear with the team i play with and they have said its the best they've heard from a mic as far as true voice without distortion. Let me explain something to those on the fence because of poor reviews on the mic. There are 4 presets for the mic Quiet room Open room Normal room outdoor and noisy As you would expect with a Bluetooth mic it borrows from all other Bluetooth technology with an outside noise reducer. That means if you have it on one of the higher settings it will require you to speak louder therefore since i'm assuming most of us are not yelling at our TV maybe you should try quiet room. I use that setting and i'm in my living room with no problem. I can get up, walk around, grab a beer, grab a snack and my team is non the wiser but when i talk i'm crystal clear. I've even made phone calls with it and been on the other end and guess what, it's perfect. I'm going to guess that the bad reviews are people who just hate Turtle Beach or bought this based off price and didn't read which is their bad. In conclusion this is the best headset iv'e ever owned!!! Thank you turtle beach for another boost to my gaming.

Bought this headset with high expectations. Pulled them out of the package and they were very uncomfortable weighed a lot and messed up on me within a week

It isn't stated, but the headset is compatible with PC, however it is not optimized well, one day you enjoy it's intended wireless connection the next, you need 3 different cables to make it work
