I have had these for atleast 11 months now and they have became very horrible. Everyone I game with says I sound like I have an oxygen mask on. Months later the tabs on the side have popped off and I guess because i have a larger head and after a while the headsets start to squeeze your head and uncomfortable when wearing glasses. Soon after that the battery doesn't stay charged like before. They now will be on charge for maybe 6 hours and I can only get 15 minutes out of it.

Best model so far for a reason. Charging stand is clutch

Did a lot of research and these are great and just what I wanted.

After using it for awhile great headset but a bit bulky the buttons on the side get pushed if you turn your head and hit your shoulders

After returning my Turtle Beach Stealth 500X headset due to a transmitter malfunction I was debating between another 500X or the Elite 800X. Having enough Reward Zone points to save $50 swayed me towards the 800X and I'm glad I went with it. I've only used it about 10hrs thus far but I feel thats enough time to give a review. First off the headset sounds incredible. Good quality sound thru the entire range of highs, mids and lows. They sound better than the 500x already and probably better than my Gen 1 Astro A50s. They are extremely comfortable to me however I can see where somebody with a large head could possibly have an issue as they do seem a little tight. They may break in over time however they are fine for me currently. I was not sure at first how the hidden microphones would sound compared to a boom mic like the 500x use but I got no complaints while playing Destiny this past weekend. Battery life seems fine thus far but also brings up my only complaint with the headsets design. Unless I'm missing something there is not a way to charge the headset while playing. So if it runs out of juice during play you would have to stop and charge it. Still even with that I feel this is a great headset Turtle Beach has made which seems worthy of the nearly $300 price point.
