Customers are saying
Customers commend the Elite 800 Wireless DTS 7.1-Channel Surround Sound Gaming Headset's exceptional sound quality, wireless functionality, and comfortable design. Many also appreciate its good battery life. However, some users find the buttons overly sensitive, the price high, and the fit snug for larger heads. A few also noted the headset's weight as a potential issue during extended use.

Headsets dead within 1 year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased two of these headsets for my gaming room. I am sad to say that neither made it past 1 year. My wife and I did not abuse these headsets. They simply just stopped working. I would not recommend these headsets to anyone. I can safely say that I will not be purchasing any turtle beach products ever again. If this is the top of the line product then what does that say about the rest of the company.

Not good headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is fair nothing spectacular and noice cancellation is only okay, after 2 weeks of very normal use the headphones broke on me and after contacting turtle beach for warranty I stopped receiving emails and now am stuck with broken headset and bad customer service from turtle beach, upon a lot of other reviews the break happens often so I would not purchase these

Amazing Headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A IN-Depth review First off, let me say I am amazed how good this turtle beach headset is!You would think that if it was made by turtle beach it would be over priced bad headset. As I was reading the box and papers I was seeing stuff like "most advance gaming headset ever made" or " This is the best headset we have ever made" I thought this is stupid and laughed. Boy was I wrong! Looks like they decided to step up their game when Astro released their A50! Headset is just about better in every way compared to the Astro A50 by the way, which in my opinion it WAS one of the best headset ever made! Mic is better Bass is better Audio is better Surround is better More comfortable Longer battery life Quicker charging time Lighter Higher quality materials Easier to connect And personally, I like the look of the Elite 800's over other headsets. Though this is not mentioned or advertised by ELITE 800 It does support Xbox one and pc! Not sure if it will be wireless for Xbox one because you need to plug it into the adapter that you can buy for the console. You can get full surround on pc wireless if you a aux output and DTS surround sound support. If you don't have that you'll only get USB audio (wireless still but no surround and does not sound good) . Right when i started playing Battlefield 4 on my pc i noticed straight away how crisp, realistic, and how precise and accurate the surround sound was. There was also tons of EQ modes to play with; there are 4 types of EQ's available for each genre of sound( Gaming, Movies, Music, and stereo ) Personally my favorite for gaming is "Signature sound" out of the following EQS which can range from shooter, super human hearing, enhanced footsteps, racing, and sports. Music EQ modes are bass, rock, and few other ones that I cant remember which personally should not matter to ya'll because everyone reading this review is a gamer. I'm just letting you know that this is useful for other things than gaming unlike the astro a50s. The one problem I have with the EQ modes is that it takes way to long to change EQ modes, like, 4 seconds, which is not long but instead of it saying "Tuned for shooters" it could just say "shooters". Also Noise cancellation is over advertise for the thing, its not amazing. Just like any other mic other than the fact that its not there and in the headset which is nice. Dont worry the mic quality was not sacrificed, its not as bad as the 1st generation of the a50s. It is also quite smaller and a little bit lighter than a50. Also, very important detail, theirs not really any static noise in the headset but very little if volume is maxed out. One thing the A50's beat the Elite 800 at is that it can get a solid connection to the receiver at a father distance. With the elite 800 you'll be able to stand about 20 feet no walls but if your behind a wall and father than 15 feet you'll get no signal. Another cool feature is that you can hook your phone up to it and receive calls and hear text, awesome. Very easy to set up,great head set, great design, great features, just a great experience and I would recemond this headset to any gamer who has a ps4,pc, and even Xbox one.

Awful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have 300 dollars and want to buy a great headset, don't buy this. The sound quality was as follows. Imagine you are watching a recording of your gameplay on your phone, with your ears pkigfed and from 20 feet away. My experience with these was not great.

Some Great features some not so great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this pair of headphones more for the Bluetooth and noise cancellation features than the gaming features. There are a small number of headphones on the market that offer both. These headphones did OK streaming audio from phones and other devices. Sound quality was OK noise cancellation was OK. Sound leakage was awful. Anyone around you would be able to hear them. For gaming sound performance they were better than the Sony Gold headphones I have much more directionality and more immersive. I was quite impressed with them for gaming audio. So for focus on gaming a great choice however that would have been my secondary use for them. Also huge complaint while on with no audio playing there is a constant hiss or hum. I understand wireless headphones have this. But this was much louder and way more annoying than any other wireless headphones I have used. I tried the available firmware update for them but still not change in the hiss. I tend to wear headphones with no audio frequently just to quite surrounding noise. Because of the hiss I was not satisfied with these headphones. Yes it is no longer noticeable with audio playing. So depending on your usage I would or would not recommend them. If you are only going to be gaming with them and the other features are a perk they sound great. If gaming is a secondary usage look for other options. Because of the price tag and me not being wowed by them ultimately i returned them and will use my Sony Golds for wireless gaming and picked up the Plantronics backbeat pro for BT audio and noise canceling.

Good, but not great...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good sound quality, but I expected more for the price. I initially bought the PX4 but got annoyed with having to be connected to the PS4 controller and the mic in my face. Since I wasn't on a limited budget, I decided to try the best turtle beach has to offer. The Elite 800 has additional perks such ad a hidden mic, can take call through headset while the game background is toned down but not distracting, and does not require Bluetooth or controller connection which all are convenient. While the sound quality is good, it just is not significantly better than the PX4 model. Turtle beach advertises an application that can fine tune your Elite 800 by mobile device; however, it is not comparable with Apple products during the time of this review. I would expect the company that has a business model that revolves around innovation have a product that is compatible with one of the hottest mobile devices on the market. I am actually on my second Elite 800. My first set died within two months after purchase. My local bestbuy would not accept the return until I involved the manager. I'm giving the product a benefit of the doubt and try another headset. I decided to give the Elite 800 another shot since the convenience of being totally wireless and hidden mic outweighs the price for me. But if your budget is limited, the Turtle Beach models at and over $100 are good products that I'm sure will enhance your gaming experience. Hope this is helpful.

okay headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had these headset for about 3 days then i returned them..reasons why i returned them was because its not worh $300..first the headset its amazing its comfortable but makes ur ears sweat after a long session of gameplay and best of all there completely wireless..n to seal the deal the charging cradle its brilliant..this is a all go headset..u can use it for anything that conects to bluetooth....the negative about this headset..is that its not loud enough..it has all these presets and to me they all sound the same and it sucks because u cant even put the headset down anywehere before u accidently press a button..the fact dat u dont get loudness on this headset sucks because some of us like to get in the game..this mike just dosent prove to be for hardcore gamers but for casual gamers..sobif u want a loud and crystal clear and comfortable headset the a50 or a40 would do just dat..especially now that the a50s wireles are on sale at $225..i bought myself a pair and loved them..they are amazing but not really wireless..wich is sad to say..

Amazin!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I naught these to replace my old XO Sevens. These things are wicked, 7.1 DTS. They have noise cancellation mode, which is sweet. They are wireless with a charging station so no Cords getting in the way. The mic is in the headphones so no long mic to wrap around. I use these for playing call of duty. You can hear footsteps everywhere. I highly recommend spending the extra cash and getting these over the other models.

Junk
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn’t even last a year. Uncomfortable and would have to be reset mid game at least once a week. Loud screeching noise that wouldn’t go away until you hard reset.

Save the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In yr n a half I had 3 of them and if it wasn't for the protection plan I would be out of a lot of money. You can't charge the battery with a cord and still use it, it can only be charged on the base.

good over all
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good headphones. I had them for almost 14 days I returned them if that tells you anything. Okay sounding even tweaking the equilizer The android app is cool as it helps customize presets. I have to say i have heard better sound from cheaper blue tooth headphones connected to my PS4. Although great product, however not sure it's worth the 299 price tag or even 249 sales price.

Where's the volume???
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a solid set of headphones with plenty of bells and whistles. Unfortunately they don't deliver when it comes to volume. I have a set of PX5's that were considerably louder than the Elites. Ended up exchanging these for a set of Astro A50's and found the volume levels that I was looking for.

Awesome wireless headset!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this headset up today and it is pretty awesome! The charging stand/transmitter is a nice touch. The headset is comfortable to wear, has enough padding on the headband and ear cups. You can wear this headset for a few hours at a time and not feel any discomfort. The sound is clear and loud and with the multiple presets, you can adjust the sound to your liking. Took me a little bit to get accustomed to where the settings are on the ear cups but once you know where they are, it's a breeze. Bluetooth capable so you can have it paired to your phone while you're playing and take your calls from it as well. High price but definitely worth it. You won't be disappointed.
