Purchased for my son, after three months the wire is already bad, wire detaching from the plug and does not get sound. No replacement wire to be found online, have to go back to Turtle Beach to see if they will send a replacement. Still waiting....stay away.

Takes a lot to put together a decent sound from this headset. We bought the mix amp and it didnt help. Return this item and bought a different headset.

I owned this headset for less than a day and the speakers started to go out. Good news I returned them to Best Buy and got Astro A50 xbox edition with no problem.

I used to use the turtle beach px24 headphones and they were ok but they would always give me a headache due to hardly any cushion. But since I got these, I’ve had no headaches. The band is adjustable and the cushion all around is great. The sound is amazing and when I stream , people tell me I sound more clearer when I talk. Overall 10/10.

    Excellent Headset. Minor Quirks.

Excellent headset from Turtle Beach. Recently changed from Astro A50's to these. I enjoyed the wireless functionality of the A50 but the battery life wasnt the greatest and the adapter for the controller that came with A50 would cut out requiring me to reset my controller. After a few times of this I decided to change out and go back to Turtle Beach. I have owned the X12 wired when I used my Xbox 360 and LOVED them. They were super comfortable, rugged, and sounded great so i decided to try the Elite Pro's. The build quality is fantastic and you can tell it was well thought out before releasing. The gel they use in the earpieces allows me to play for extended session and, unlike the A50's, my ears don't get hot or sweat which was an issues with my Astro's. The 3.5mm headphone cable is a nice feature too and can be used with the 3.5mm port that's in the newer XB1 controllers or using the chat adapter. Sound is an issue, not for me but for others that have these headphones. They sound decent for what they are but could be much better for a $200 set. Which if you read reviews is a common complaint for users. That being said, i was prepared for this and purchased the MixAmp PRO from Astro (love their amps, headsets no so much) and the sound quality improved significantly. So if you decide to purchase the headset I would get an amp to whether it be an Astro or TB's Tactical Controller. The MixAMP is my recommendation and its a quality products. Plus both of these products allowed me to be more comfortable while streaming as well. In the end you wont be disappointed in the long run with this headset. Pros: -Excellent Build Quality -Wired with a 3.5mm plug -Gel earpieces are extremely comfortable. -Adjustable Cons: -Sound quality is sub par for a $200 headset w/o an Amp -Larger heads may find these uncomfortable. So thats my review. Hope it helps you out!

    BEST TURTLE BEACH HEADSET!

This headset is the best headset I have ever owned from turtle beach, I use it for my xbox one and bought the noise canceling microphone with it. I highly recommend it if you are in a noisy household and want to shut out everything and everyone around you. Sound quality is amazing with 5.1 surround sound and 7.1 if you use the mix amp. Also the Comfort-tec glasses relief system works as it was advertised! I wear glasses all the time and used to get headaches from all the pressure put on them, well with this headset there are straps to adjust the amount of pressure your glasses receive and my headaches have stopped because of this. All in all an amazing headset by turtle beach and provides comfort and precision quality.

    Amazing Headset from Turtle Beach

First off know beforehand that I am a huge fan of Astro headsets. I have owned various models of both the A40 and A50 models. I also have owned other headsets from Turtle Beach however I have never found their comfort or build quality on par with Astro's models. Enter the Elite Pro and boy have things changed. The build quality on these is eexcellent . They have a metal frame so they should be very durable. Comfort wise and I can't believe I'm saying this but they feel better than my current Astro A40tr model. The suspension frame feels great for extended play sessions and the era cushions are the best I have ever had on a headset. For my review on sound quality please know that I did not purchase the additional TAC from Turtle Beach as I used my current Astro Mixamp Pro TR model for the Xbox One. So my sound experience is judging the sound and mic quality of both. Sound wise, the Elite Pros sound better to me overall. I was able to pinpoint gunfire direction and location much more precisely than I could with my Astros. I also heard little details I had never noticed before. As for mic quwlity, again the Elite Pros sounded much better which didn't surprise me since Turtle Beach typically has decent mics. Ovrrall, I highly recommend the headset however I do feel that you nneed to have either the TAC or a Mixamp to get the most out of these.

These are the most comfortable headphones I've ever owned. The sound is awesome and the background noise is very low. Nothing worse than distractions while gaming, except LAG!! Plugs right in to the 3.5mm jack and the controls are easy to use. Turtle beach did an awesome job on these headphones with the gamer completely in mind. They are sturdy and quickly adjust to any size head. I highly recommend these headphones and I consider myself an extreme gamer!!

This headset is very comfortable and the sound is amazing, but this headset doesn't work with the PC right off the back. You will need this piece for it to work with your PC ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/turtle-beach-elite-pro-a-m-p-for-playstation-4-and-playstation-3-black-orange/5191402.p?id=bb5191402&skuId=5191402 ) and you have to order it for Store Pick-up.

    Comfort Trumps All Other Considerations

This is, without question, the most comfortable headsetI have every experienced (I'm into music and have been a gamer for years so I don't scrimp on cost). Its patented adjustment for eyeglass arms is ingenious and very effective. My ears don't get hot, my glasses aren't driven into my temple and, after hours of play, I still barely notice I'm wearing them. Yes, the sound is great, too, but I'll let others hash out those details. If you want a quality headset that provides unlimited comfort, look no further.

    Worth every penny

Phenomenal headset. I use it with my Xbox one X and a Microsoft headset adapter (I feel that I didn’t need all the extras from turtle beach but they may be worth it). It has crystal clear spatial audio which helps identify where enemies are when they are nearby and make movements. The mic also works very well (shared by people I play with) and cuts out any background noise like a air purifier that I have running 24/7 in the room that my Xbox is in. The only tiny issue I have is that I accidentally dropped it from a stand that is about 2 feet high and a tiny bracket that holds the metal wiring for the headrest’s comfort adjustment system cracked. The parts for this are not sold on turtle beaches website (along with many of the other parts of this headset) so I have employed a homemade solution to keep it in place. I still rate it 5 stars though because it was my fault and wanted to share this note for the people who might be a little more rough on their equipment.

    Amazing headset

First off, you WILL need the T.A.C. Controller to use this headset properly. That being said, here's what I think: I didn't want to give this headset a chance. Coming from an Astro A50, I wanted to find flaws in this TB headset. I couldn't. Not when using with the T.A.C. Controller. The DTS surround sound is on point and will blow you away. I'm a die hard Rainbow Six Siege player on the PS4 and this headset blew away the Astro A50s. The sound was so accurate in fact, that I could hear and kill the enemy on the ceiling precisely. Movies sound fantastic, especially a 5.1 DTS version...really changes your experience. Build quality is top notch. Looks premium. The ear pads are very comfortable and have a "cooling gel" infused on the surface. It feels like one of those cooling pads you use on your knee, it's great. The mic works well. I would have preferred a more premium look, but it does its job. It resembles the HyperX Cloud 2. Downside is that it's ridiculous expensive to buy the headset with the TAC controller. I'm not sure if the price is justified. But after using ALL of the top end headsets, this combo was the best and I don't say that lightly.

awesome headset but one major drawback

it's actually a little dumb how this headset like other turtle beach tournament items were made and desired around pro players and they still mess it up. overall the sound quality increased i noticed i am picking up little details in games i never recognized before so that was cool. mic is sturdy and definitely better than others. however, the things keep sliding off my head! i don't have a small head this is crazy. i have short hair maybe that makes a difference smh. but because they way more, and now looking at them, i notice the center of mass is actually pushed forward from the ear cup, they actually slip down when i tilt my head. i will give them a couple more days but come on guys like wth

He loves it but the mic is too sensitive

I got this for my husband so he can upgrade from a 20$ ones. It looks great, the built and the quality looks and feels premium. I love how its not the stock green! Being plug and play, the adjustable tension and the gap for the glasses are A1 for me having glasses and him having a large head! My only complaint about the headset is that without the TAC the mic was too sensitive, Id be in a a party on xbox with him and If I speak I can hear my self through his mic! Not like an echo from the unit but because we were in the same room! I can even hear my keyboard clicks! I have my own headset that doesn't pick up my keyboard or him (unless he rages) So for something this price I would have expected at least some background noise canceling without the TAC.

    FYI

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this headset to replace my old PlayStation headset. I used turtle beach when I had XBOX and loved them. I was willing to upgrade and get a serious headset so I went with the Elite pro. When I bought these I expected booming sound, like most TB headsets but that's a big fat negative. The little sound it has is okay for no amp and comfort is top notch but like I said this headset NEEDS an amp for it to function like a pro headset. I bought their AMP booster for the PS4 ($20) because I wasn't willing to throw down extra $200 for the Tac AMP after a $200 purchase of headphones. When I received the PS4 Sound booster it literally did nothing to improve the sound. It was no different from plugging them in to the controller. It sounded exactly the same. If you want the top of the line set up and have money to spend, then get these WITH the tac amp. The sound sucks with out it. The price point is ridiculous for quality of the sound. You can get top of the line Astro's with sound Amp for $100 cheaper. I was very disappointed with Turtle beach. I also reached out to their customer service department about accessory sound booster and the response I received was "We'll answer your question in 2-3 business days." After I received that statement, I returned these for Astro50's. Just as comfortable and the sound is excellent. PRO's -Comfortable!!!! -Clear mic -Great sound with Tac AMP Cons -Extra $200 for Tac Amp -Price point for just headset alone -Below average sound with out the AMP - Accessories don't work. (Don't bother buying the PS4 booster. It does nothing for it)

I have owned several pairs of diff brands and these are the most comfortable. Great sound and blocks out noise from the outside. I paid 159.99 and that's a good price for this set. People can hear me through the mic loud and clear.
