Customers are saying

Customers admire the Recon 200 headset's sound quality, comfort, and value for its price. Many appreciate its compatibility across multiple gaming platforms and the convenient flip-up microphone. However, some users point to issues with battery life and the wired connection. A shorter cord length and occasionally low volume were also cited as drawbacks.

Better value than the Stealth 600

I didn't keep this headset for long because I decided to go with the Stealth 600, but I actually really liked them. I feel like the Recon 200 were actually more comfortable than the Stealth 600; they didn't squeeze my head as much. The sound on the two headsets is also pretty much the same. The only reason I went with the Stealth 600 was because it's cordless and I could get it in blue. I honestly think the Recon 200 is the better deal though if you don't mind the cord.

These are a really good pair of gaming headphones. I bought them as a gift for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves them! And not to mention that these are at a pretty good price for the quality you get (which is great) and based on other gaming headphones out there.

Very good headset, has good noise pickup while playing Call of Duty. Though you connect the headset to the controller, it still requires you to recharge it. So if you forget to charge, you may not be able to use it for a while.

These headphones are nice but I am a little disappointed that I have to charge the headphones before I use them and I have to charge them in between uses I mean there wired headphones so shouldn’t it just be plug and play

These headphones are easy to use, the microphone is fine, and the sound quality is good, but my complaint is the hard-wired cable I plug in to use them is not a power supply and you must charge the headset battery separately.

      Thanks for your feedback.

The Recon 200 headset requires charging due to the fact that they are amplified headsets. In order for the amplification to work, the headset would need to be powered by a power source of some sort.

Rather than tethering you to the console or another power source via a USB cable, we placed a rechargeable battery in the headset. This allows you to only have one connection to the console's controller, rather than two (one to the console, one to the controller). TurtleBeach

I have had it for a year and a half now and it still works perfectly. Bass is good due to the amplified power, battery life is good, and sound is good for gaming. I love these. Maybe will get more expensive ones in the future but for being “budget” headphones, works like a charm. It even has a switch for PS4 and Xbox one

Comfortable headset. The volume can be a little soft at times, but not problematic. I like the on ear controls and the flip-to-mute mic. The monitoring did take some getting used to as my last headset did not have that feature.

Great headphones for a great price. The sound quality of the headphones is superb. The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars was the cord being somewhat short. Other than that worth it!

Good headphones the sound quality and mic monitoring are great! I only wish they shut off when not in use on their own I often forget to power them down and they die by the next time I want to use them.

For the price point. These are definitely a great headset. Sound quality is pretty dang clear. I have purchased others that are about the same price and these sound a little better. The cups are very comfortable and the mic works great. My friends can hear me just fine without any interference.

Great headset. My daughter uses it for her PS4 and PS 5. Great sound. My daughter has had other headsets but she says this is by far the best with sound. Only setback is you have to charge the headset in order to use it. Comes with micro-usb cable to charge. If forget to charge can not use.

It’s a amazing mic, I use it on my Xbox series S but I didn’t know it needed to be charged until it died on me. I figured I didn’t need to since it’s a wired mic but other than that it’s a amazing mic.

I needed something good, but for a budget. This did not disappoint. I also use this for my teams meetings and it works great for that as well. I use this for my xbox, but there is a switch on the back that allows you to go from xbox to Playstation, on the PC it doesn't matter which position it is in honestly.

Excellent and affordable headset! One of the better quality Turtle Beach headsets available. The ability to adjust game volume and chat volume separately is something I've been looking for for a long time. You will need to charge it from time to time and really that's the only drawback.

The ear pads are super comfy. They sound fantastic and look great. Bad part is even though wor d they need to be charged to use. Also the toggle button for xbox or ps4 is not very good at locking into position.

I bought a white and black pair for me and my brother because we got the ps5 and xbox series X and thought it’d be nice to get a headset so little kids wouldn’t hear the let’s say less than savory audio in some of the games. (watch dogs and yakuza have some funny but dirty scenes) overall great build and sound quality sound can be a little quiet but the quality of he mic is amazing it can pick up even the smallest sound and it sounds pretty good not to mention how you can hear your self talking I got them on sale for 29.99 wouldn’t pay full price as they are a little dated with micro USB charging but for the sale price they work with almost any device (too bad my iPhone lacks a headphone jack) and offer a great experience.
