TB Recon 200 Amplified Gaming Headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent sound from a headset @ this price point. Very loud and clear sound. Bass is great..very deep. Fairly light weight. Comfortable soft ear cup cushions. The earcups could be a bit larger though. The headbands contact point could use a slightly thicker cushion. The mic sounds clear (so my friends tell me) and the volume and mic monitoring wheels on the left earcup work well and are very accessible. The mic monitoring works very well turned all the way up. Love how the mic is barley visible when flipped down and in use. These have a built in amp that does need to be charged. The charge holds well. You get about 10 to 12 hours depending on the volume you use them at. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love them. Best sound quality. Just wish I didn’t have to recharge them, but I’ll put up with that for the sound quality and durability. I have been using turtle beaches since 2012 and they just keep getting better and better. I even use them to work from home! Money well spent!

Best value
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a year of extensive use, these are holding up great. Probably the BEST gaming headsets for the money I’ve ever owned. Sound quality is good and the mic is honestly phenomenal for the price. Only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of an unfortunate experience. I purchased 3 pairs at once (one for myself, brother, & cousin). 2 of the pairs gave off loud hissing & cracking noises which prompted an easy exchange for both. The new pairs worked great and still are to this date.

Gaming Headset
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great buy. The headset is comfortable and drowns out outside noise. Volume settings are a great option. Only negative is the headset has to be charged before use, it is not out of the box ready.

Turtle Beach is still in the game.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you play Call of Duty you know Turtle Beach was THE gaming headset for "Duty heads." Unfortunately over time the quality of Turtle Beach headsets seemed to have deteriorated. And I was about to write Turtle Beach off altogether. That was, until I picked up the Turtle Beach Recon 200 Amplified Gaming Headset for my Xbox Series X. This headset is durable, comfortable, and appears to be built to last. I like how you can mute your mic simply by flipping the microphone upwards on your headset. Nobody wants to fiddle around with a mute "button" while in a heated gunfight on COD. This is a great headset for someone who wants a very nice gaming headset but doesn't want to spend hundreds on a headset.

Absolutely awesome!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought Steele series arctis 5s. Didn't like how they squeezed my head. Then I ordered hyperx cloud 2s thought the sound was weak. Sent them back. Went and bought a pair of Kraken tournament edition again I was very disappointed in the sound quality. I play alot of battle royale style games, Apex Legends being my favorite. I returned the Kraken tournament edition to beast buy and bought the $30 cheaper set of Turtle Beach Recon X200's. I couldn't be happier. Not only are they very comfortable the sound quality is well above the others I tried. Not only are they much louder, you know exactly where all enemies are coming from well before they get there doesn't matter what direction cause you will know. Absolutely blown away!!!

Nice Headset
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchase these on Black Friday at a great price for my daughter to use on her ps4 and ps5. She says the sound is amazing and fits very snug. Only set back is you have to charge the headset in order to use. I guess she did not read the description like nobody else.

Nice set
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as an extra set for my sons friends when they come over. It does a nice job but it has to be recharged every other day. Other than that, it’s a fantastic set… Concerning the sound and comfort.

Entry Level or for a backup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Turtle Beach: Recon 200 is a wired headset, that typically sits in the mid price range of $59.99. Looking at the presentation, the box is easy to open, and packaged neatly with headset protection in mind. They use a cardboard insert to hold the headset, which is environmentally friendly, then use a plastic bag to wrap the headset. The cord is neatly wrapped, and the additional micro-USB cable is neatly placed in the box. Looking at the overall build of the headset, it features a strong and minimalist design. The outer frame is made of a hard plastic, with metal adjustment sliders for the earcups. The earcups offer a 90 degree swivel on a plastic bearing, allowing for easy adjustment. The earcups fit comfortably around the ear, and give plenty of space. The ears are padded with pleather coated foam, and provide decent support. The 3.5mm wired cable provides plenty of length to your controller, but does require the headset to be charged. The microphone is small in size and easily folds down, and is made of rigid plastic. Now looking at the audio and electronics, this headset is very unique. The headset offers volume controls for master volume and party/social volume on the back of the left ear, this is with a roller wheel. The cord and charging port is also located on the left earcup. The microphone offers raise to mute technology , and easily folds up when necessary. It provides acceptable voice quality, but does transmit background noise due to the actual distance from your mouth. The audio provided by the headset gives options as it does not have an overall volume cap, but you will easily be able to “crank it up!”. The manual chat mixer on the left earpiece lets you customize your experience how you see fit, but could be a little more user friendly. Personally I felt that the game audio sounded decent, and the party audio sounded a bit stereo. Final Thoughts: This headset is comfortable, and reasonably price at $59.99, however it does have its positives and negatives. Starting with the positives, this headset gives a solid performance in audio quality and entry level audio mixing. The metal reinforced adjustment band aids in preventing damage on the band, and helping flexibility. Now the flip-side of the coin. Although this headset has a hard plastic build, the rotating earcups swivel on a thin plastic bearing, being unable to handle drop force. The pleather is comfortable but restricts airflow to the point of moisture accumulation, reducing the longevity of the headset. The microphone is nice with its compact size but it severely impacts the voice quality and creates static issues. Lastly, the headset is wired but is required to be charged prior to use, and be functional, which counteracts the wired component. Verdict: Back-Up Headset/Entry Level Its acceptable audio and functionality make it perfect for a first headset. However due to the lack of microphone quality, and required charging it makes it not an ideal decision for a daily use or a dedicated gamer.

Great Headphones!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Headphones are awesome! The sound quality it top notch. They are very comfortable and fit snug on my head. They do block outside sound fairly well. The only down side is that you have to charge them every now and then, but the battery last a good wile.

Great headset with one snag
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the headsets are great. I saw these on sale and said why not upgrade my headset and see what happens. I think the sound is great for the amount I paid for it. I have one nit picky thing about this headset, I wish it was either fully wireless or fully functional based on plugging into the the controller. The battery life is good, the problem I have design wise, is that the on off switch is kinda tucked away on the headset so I often forget to turn it off at night resulting in a dead battery on my next play session. I would still keep your old headset though if you buy this one, otherwise you might be without a headset for a bit if this one isnt charged.

Great Value Gaming Headset
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great cheap Turtle Beach headset that works with both the X-Box Series X and the PS5 because it simply plugs into your controller. The only downside is that the volume is low even on the highest setting and the microphone is only accessible on the left side. Compatibility is ok for both next gen systems, however it does work better for the PS5 vs the X-Box Series X. All in all, it is a decent pair of gaming headphones. Upside: Price and Compatibility Downside: Low Volume

Turtle Beach is always really good
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this thing. It makes playing online really fun. I just hate that you have to charge it. Other than that, it sounds good, doesn’t give you a headache and you just flip up the mic when you want to mute yourself.

Solid Beginner pair
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these on sale ($26.99) so take my value approach with a grain of salt being that these are back at regular price. These headsets are the beat bang for your buck! If you’re a beginner in the gaming headset game or if you’re looking for a solid cheap pair these do the job. I purchased these in initially because buyers said other models were not as loud as they wanted. These are not only wired they have to be charged, which usually means they have an amp on the headset that allows it to go louder than the non charging wired headphones. My friend has these cheap Amazon ones that are supposed to mimic the turtle beaches without having to get charged, and I can tell you rn the turtle beaches are worth it. Mix quality is great too
