As a heads up; the Recon 200s require charging due to the fact that they are amplified headsets. In order for the amplification to work, the headset would need to be powered by a power source of some sort.
Rather than tethering you to the console or another power source via a USB cable, we placed a rechargeable battery in the headset. This allows you to only have one connection to the console's controller, rather than two (one to the console, one to the controller).

I really wish it had a way to auto-shut off or at least a better battery. I do forget to turn it off which means I can’t use it until it’s charged. The sound quality is great IMO, as I’ve only had the “$5 special” headset from disc replay, Amazon, or GameStop. I do wish the volume knobs were gamechat/gameplay so I can control my gameplay that way

I purchased 2 sets and my 11 year old sat on one and it broke. Not the headphones fault and why not to buy an expensive set for an 11 year old boy. My complaint is if the battery dies you hear nothing. I do not always remember to charge it and that was not clear in the description. I use it on an Xbox 1X

But it has a battery that you need to charge or it doesn’t work. It comes with all the kit to charge it but honestly you can get another headset for the same price without the battery that sounds just as good and saves you the hassle.

I mainly use it for my Xbox online gaming. But you can also plug it into your PlayStation, computers, and all 3.5mm jack audio inputs. I love that you can adjust the mic and volume settings right on the headsets. It has a built in battery so you do need to charge it often via micro USB, but is has a good battery life. This is mainly for the noise canceling feature. The mic also has a great mute feature where you just flip it all the way up to mute. The build quality is amazing. The headset material for over the ear is a type of leather material. The only bad thing is after a long time of usage you may experience sweaty ears. Other than that it is a great product and great value!

These do not have that issue. They do need a charge because they are amplified so don't forget to plug them in when not in use. I haven't used the mic because I don't do alot of online gaming. Overall I would recommend this headset.

It is slightly tight however, but no complaints as this is person to person thing. Sound is great and the bass is very clean. I never have it up past half-way and its very loud. Definitely for the crowd that prefers rich bass. Hearing others through chat is crisp as well as hearing yourself. I use it with a PS4 and have had 0 issues with it. The charge lasts a very long time and is recharged rather quickly.

Unfortunately, the Recon 70 didn't offer mic monitoring, so I upgraded to the Recon 200. Sound quality is good. Using the Windows Sonic codec on the Xbox produces reasonable surround sound. Wish the rechargeable battery was removable, but then again this is not a top-priced unit. A solid buy for the money.

This is a comfortable headset that adjusts for both ears. The top of the band is padded and rest on the crown of your head, while all the buttons are made for a right handed person. The fact that you can use for both XBox and PS4 along with the price made this a no-brainer. Sound quality is excellent and it is super easy to use.
