||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t know if it’s the model or the brand, but this is the second set of Turtle Beach Recon 50X gaming headsets I’ve purchased for my son that has failed. The first set he received for Christmas 2017 stopped working after about 8 months. When playing a game, the mic stops working and only one earpiece functions. I bought a second pair for him and the same thing happened after only a few weeks. I’m getting him a wireless set for Christmas 2018 and just need this set to last until then...no dice. Picked up a low budget Xbox branded set that has worked flawlessly without a single hiccup. Get it together, Turtle Beach.

I was able to exchange the first pair since it was within the first 30 days after purchasing but now I'm out a headset.
