I can't say that I have personally used this headset, but my 10 year old son uses it regularly and says that it's the best/clearest sound quality headset he has used thus far. I must admit, I really didn't want to spend this much money on a headset (have purchased the cheaper ones at 5 Below and some random brand at TJ Maxx.) Both of these were substandard and broke pretty quickly. So, finally, I caved and bought this one. No complaints from my son so far. He said that it's very comfortable and the sound quality is very good. I'm a bit concerned that the microphone arm might eventually snap and/or come lose, which is what happened to the other headsets I've purchased ( and since he tends to move it around periodically) but so far, so good. Only time will tell, I guess. Overall, he is very happy with this item.

No lag from wireless. Fit is good. Not to snug amd doesnt hurt the ears as much. Sound is great

These headphones are very good if you are a casual/hardcore gamer that doesn't have a lot in their wallet. These headphones have a lot of pros few cons. Pros:Clear audio, Very comfortable as advertised, customizable volume, off or on button for mic, you can use for gaming or just watching a movie, you can also use these headphones for most phones,very long lasting (have used these headphones for more than 6 months now and they are as good as new),and my favorite thing about these headphones is that they are VERY durable. Little sibling twisted it? No problem! Dropped it? No problem! Threw it? No problem! These headphones can be a very easy fix if broke, warranty not really needed greatly. Cons are: Very few times for me I feel the plastic top of the headphones hurting my head when I play for long periods a little bit despite the headrest. Another con is if you have a big head these will not work very well for you. I am personally started in my teenage years and have to use the max suspension for the headphones to fit my head, and my head is below average to average size for my age. Overall if these Cons do not matter to you much, these are an excellent choice! If they do matter to you a little bit, I reccomend you try it out and if it does not work for you I believe there is a return policy for these headphones. Really great for the cost and the most comfortable i’ve tried at this price range. They don’t get very loud with game volume but it’s worth the trade off if you just need the headphones for casual gaming.

Good headphones, I got them for my kids. They work w/ the Playstation and nintendo switch. Not the most expensive set and they are wired, but great for the kids. I gave 5 stars based on price vs ease of use/ quality of product. They are not as high quality and sound is not as good as my wireless recons that cost 5x the price.

Its a good headset only thing is just like 2-3 weeks later the cords start to get tangled but besides that the mic quality and audio is perfect for

I was looking for a decent headset that I could use for both my PC and Xbox One that wasn't too expensive. I found this and finally decided to get this after reading most of the reviews. It's a great headset that's not outrageously expensive. It's much better than my old one where they became uncomfortable after a while. I've never had over the ear headset before, it's comfortable never get tired or sore from wearing it especially after playing for hours. I really like that you can take off the mic and just use it as headphones if you want. Easy to use with Xbox by just plugging it into the controller. It works for PC but you'll need a Male to Female Headset Microphone Audio splitter. They're pretty cheap lucky for me I had an old adapter lying around.

My son is in love with this head set. He can hear his game and talk with his friends effortlessly while gaming he has the power now to NOT make mom hear his crazy sounds from his various games and I don’t have to hear 5 12yo boys talking about fallout 4 and Fortnite or mine craft. With these head phones I talked to my bestbuy associate there in gaming and she helped me out getting all my sons game gear. And she recommended this headset said he would love them and she was right. And she asked if I wanted geek squad protection for the head set it was only 10 bucks more so after all two years protection and replacement for sure dumb question. But she did a great job and my son said for me to tell everyone that for the price of this headset with protection for two years and the sound quality with mic you can’t beat it. Everyone needs to only buy one headset and this is the ONE.

Works as advertised. Decent entry-level gaming headset. Light, easy to wear. Removable (and replaceable) boom mic, inline volume/mute controls and rotating ear cups for easy placement around your neck while not in use. Works on ANYTHING with 3.5mm female audio jack.

We picked this headset up looking for a replacement to the standard xbox live headset. Overall, it works very well. The mic picks up speech very clearly. It is also quite comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. I would say the one small negative for the headset is that the sound on it is a little bit tinny and flat compared to other stereo headsets we have had in the past. It still is good enough for general gameplay, but if you are looking for something that sounds loud and "full", you may want to go with a different headset. On the positive side, this headset seems so far to be pretty high quality for the money and seems to be constructed from better materials, so we are hoping that it will last longer as a result. (We have had pretty poor luck with any headset from any brand lasting longer than a half a year). In any case, I would recommend this headset at the price it is selling for. It is a nice one.

Great Sound Quality, easy to adjust, very comfortable to game with and very affordable for a gaming headset

Good quality headphones. They've worked well for both gaming and school for my son and have held up better than others we've had.

For a budget headset, this one punches above its weight. Audio is clear, the mic works great for party chat, and it’s comfortable for long play sessions. Works well with Xbox and PC. If you need something reliable without dropping big bucks, the Recon 50X gets the job done.

They're headphones; so far they're holding up decently. They're about 9 months old now, so despite what a lot of new Turtle Beach naysayers disparage, them seem pretty decent for the price. Quality is what you'd expect with the price tag, but in a pinch, they do the job.

I found this headset at various stores and Best Buy was the cheapest. I have had no issues with this headset. I use it with the Xbox one stereo adapter and the sound quality is great. The ear pieces fit comfortably even during long periods of gaming. Overall great headset for the price of $40. I would recommend this to any novice gamer.

This is a really great item for the price that it is. I take it with me everywhere I go. I travel a lot, and it has handled it wonderfully.

I wanted a quality headset but at a lower budget. The 50X fits the bill. Sound quality is good, and volume is plenty loud unlike some other reviews I've read. Mine is lower than 50% most times and I rarely need to raise it. I like the in-line volume control and mic mute switch. The adapter that balances game & chat volumes does not come with this headset, but I am glad because I don't want to add more bulk to my controller and those options are in the Xbox quick settings panel anyway. Once I found a good balance I never needed to go back, but I don't play a big variety of multiplayer games so certain titles may need more adjusting. The foam pads on the ears are comfortable, and I like that the mic is removable and easily adjustable. My only gripe is that with the headset fully extended, the piece that rests on top of my head is a bit tight, leading to discomfort during longer sessions. I have a large head so this may not be a problem for others, and repositioning usually helps to an extent. Other than that, I think this is a hard value to beat.

These headphones are really nice and comfortable. You can adjust them and the microphone has a on/off button which is very handy. You can remove the microphone as well which is very nice. They are good quality and the sound is amazing. You can use them for your pc as well! I love them!
