The functionality of the Lower Dial on the headset will depend on the mode the headset's transmitter is in.
When the transmitter is connected to an Xbox console and switched to Xbox Mode, the headset's lower dial will default to controlling Chat Volume.
When the transmitter is connected to an PlayStation console, PC, or Nintendo Switch dock and placed in USB mode, the lower dial will default to controlling the volume level of the headset's Microphone Monitor feature. Since those devices handle Chat Audio differently from the Xbox, there'd be no way to separate them in to independently adjustable channels.

Also when turned on it occasionally says you're connected but no sound goes through the headphones. That's only sometimes and it depends but overall I'd rate them a 8.5 out of 10.

XBOX version not good for PS5

When gaming, from time to time the voices of players get almost digitized. My 4 year old Turtle Beach Stealths are still better than these. Some times at start up, they will shut back down after telling me "battery level high".
