I love this thing. This is replacing an already great controller that I have (non HE sticks tho) and it easily matches its performance. In the box you get a very nice zip case which houses the controller, charging cable (type a to type c ), replacement rings, sticks, d-pads, a couple of usb a to c converters, the wireless dongle, and the tool to make it all work. It's a nice little setup that feels really premium. First things first, plugged it into my pc, powered it up and updated through the victrix control hub. That software has a ton of options, the majority of which I will never use, but it's nice that it walks you through a quick calibration the first time. You'll also have to plug the dongle in to check for updates. Once you're update that's it. You're good to go. You can ignore that software forever unless you want to customize some stuff, and you may ... there's a lot to customize. The joysticks, d-pad, and face buttons all feel very nice. I wish the button/joystick module used the kailh switches, but these feel good enough. The same is true for the four mappable buttons on the back and the bumpers. No complaints. The triggers though ... oh man I hate these triggers. They feel so cheap - hollow and chintzy. There's a good amount of travel on them, enough for my liking, but the actuation feels terrible ... like cheap plastic rubbing against a cheap plastic housing. I don't like it. The triggers on my other controller are much better, require more actuation force (better feedback imo), and just feel better. BUT! this is a preference. I hate it, you might like it. The thing that really annoys me though is the instant input mode or the "lock" the triggers have. You can lock the triggers at a handful of different depths so you can achieve a faster or slower actuation. Let's say you want to lock the triggers without being actuated at all, no problem! Except that there's still travel required on the trigger to actuate. When locked in the highest position the trigger should feel exactly like the face buttons. I like the functionality of the triggers, but I hate the feel of it. Bad Also if you wanted this for fighting games be aware that this doesn't come with the fighting pad module. It's a bit of a bummer at this price point, but if you're into fighting games it's worth the bit extra. Overall I think it's a really good controller, nearly perfect ... but those triggers man ... I hate these triggers so much. Everything else about the controller feels so high quality, but these things kind of suck.

The controller was confusing to set up I know I may have been doing something wrong. The videos I looked up on YouTube didn’t help. I’ve heard great things about the Victrix Pro, but after trying to use it I prefer GameSir. I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the controller either.

The Turtle Beach Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded Wireless Modular Controller for Windows and Steam Deck should be a slam dunk, but it just doesn’t reach the heights of other premium controllers. The features are all there, very similar to those of a PlayStation 5 controller. The modular aspect allows you to swap and rotate the left and right button/control stick modules, which is a nice touch. I like that I can easily change my physical setup on the fly using the included tool. The triggers and bumpers feel great—again, comparable to premium controllers but at a lower price. The paddles also feel solid, similar to those on other premium controllers that cost half as much. A few accessories are included, such as the adjustment tool and USB dongles if you prefer to play wirelessly. Surprisingly, Turtle Beach didn’t skimp on the cord or the carrying case; both are excellent quality. One major drawback, however, is the software. It does not download or install properly on all PC systems, and in my experience, this was a huge mark against the product. A controller at this price point should have seamless software support. Overall, the controller performs well, and I don’t have many complaints aside from the price, the niche market it targets, and the unreliable software. There are much better controllers available with more features at a cheaper price. I do not recommend purchasing this controller.
